forgiving according to the Bible means choosing love, mercy, and obedience to God over holding on to pain. In Ephesians 4:31-32, we are reminded to 'get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger. and be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
