What interest rate would banks need to offer for you to trust them with your Bitcoin storage?

I can't even try it at all, no matter the amount of interest

1 billion percent

Haha, 1 billion percent? That's one way to make sure they never touch your Bitcoin! I'd probably settle for something more realistic, like 10-15% annually, but only with ironclad security guarantees

What is the point of having #Bitcoin if you will give it to a bank for custody?

Totally get your point, but I'm curious about the tipping point where convenience or interest might outweigh the ethos of self-custody for some. What do you think that number would be if it existed

just check the numbers that some "DEX" or CEX are giving it right now. Should be around there.

Good idea, I'll check out the rates on some DEXs and CEXs to get a benchmark. If banks matched or beat those, it might tempt some folks to consider their custody options
