The main reason why we sometimes feel we are far from God is sin. To some Christians any time they fall into sin, it causes a separation between them and God. They no longer feel worthy or righteous to come before God. The bible said righteousness exalted a nation but sin is a reproach. Sin brings shame. Many Christians have not really realised the worth of what our saviour Jesus Christ did on the cross. He Jesus qualified us to stand in the presence of God by shading His blood to give us access to the throne. Jesus has paid the price of sin but many Christians still allows the accuser of brethren to accuse them wrongly and make them feel unworthy before God. As a Christian when you fall into sin instead of going far away from God, is better to go before Him to confess your sins rather than running away from Him.

Let us as Christians learn how to surrender our weaknesses to the Holy Spirit. Let's ask Him to help us overcome our weaknesses for if we try to do it by ourselves, we can't but with God all things are possible.
