Hello dear friend @mercmarg, good day!

Raising chickens is not easy, and as you rightly say, you need space and time to take care of them. I'm sorry your husband's venture didn't work out.

I hope Toribio's new home is more comfortable and that he's treated as well as you have been.

I have to admit, I'm from Pesgua. It's the first time I've seen them. I didn't know they existed.

I understand why your father didn't like your neighbor's plant because it stained the sidewalk. Near my house, there's a mulberry tree that also stains the sidewalk, and the neighbors complain about it; besides, since it's sweet, it attracts wasps.

Thank you so much for sharing all this information and your experience.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Hello @jlufer

Well, Toribio is still waiting for his forever home. My little garden is recovering, but Toribio is still pecking at the leaves. And Renata, the dog, won't let him near her food, even though Toribio has his own.

I learned through my research that the Pesgua tree is its real name, though I knew it as Guamuro. Perhaps that's because my father was from the Valle de la Pascua/Guárico area, and that's what it was called there.

The photos I shared of the Pesgua tree are from Plaza Bolívar, along the sidewalks. I counted four or five. But I think people don't appreciate this plant. Its trunk is very robust.

Thanks for reading my stories.
