I like many of your points in this. I think something fun is key. Some reason other than blogging. Your are so right when you say that this feels like work, like hiking a mountain. 🤣 sad but true.
I have a feeling if this idea of break away communities happens, and there could be a mix of private messaging and short form posting publicly. throw a few games they can play that can be simple games in nature, but with a playing with other players within the game, where they can chat and perhaps stream themselves playing the game as a longer form post that could get voted on. Something like that could draw teens… but id say the less it feels like the Hive we know the better. If it’s fun and is a place to chat and connect and doesn’t always need to be ‘on’ the blockchain…. because yeah, ‘writing 500 word long blogs for money’ which is kinda the current pitch… this isn’t a pitch that will interest your average teenager.

I have always said that niche communities are the key. However almost none of them do onboarding, they just settle for the Hive population. What you say is very interesting and we should think about something similar in our @hiverun community where we link physical activity (running) with Hive.
We have done several training challenges with prizes. We want to be an example for other communities.
