Monochrome photo for every day my personal photo challenge - 12/07/2023 - Issue - No.87 + a modest competition for everyone who wants to share a monochrome photograph.
For me this is a challenge, but for you, it can be a simple and easy read, or it can become a competition which you can read about below.
There is an opinion that swamps are a mysterious and slightly scary place where there are real reasons to be scared lol.
Yes, it is, but the colors are slightly enhanced by those who like to write action-packed novels and fairy tales who have placed creatures from their own imagination on the plots.
But in principle, the sounds made by bitterns and swamp gases can be frightening if it happened unexpectedly and in close proximity to you.
Yes, there is still a risk of getting your feet wet if you carefully step on a bump and slide off it into the water but this is more like a contrast shower.
To this you can add a chance meeting with a pack of stray dogs who are not very kind to uninvited guests.
But probably the worst thing in the swamps is the trees.
No you won’t see a dendroid and the day of the trifids won’t begin, but the trees growing in the swamps look scary.
The feeling is enhanced by the fog in the swamps from which gnarled tree trunks appear and their branches create the impression of the presence of monsters that are hunting you.
Sometimes as in the case you see in the photograph, you can begin to be afraid even before you take your first step into the swamps.
These trees like guardians of the swamps stand on its edge and try to convince the traveler that he has something to be afraid of in the swamps.

This should be any monochrome photographic work; it does not necessarily have to be black and white, sepia and other variations are welcome, and it can also be monochrome photo collages.
