My Actifit Report Card: August 17 2024
First off, I thought there was a fallen tree branch in the pool. This time of year, we get a lot of westerly winds that annoyingly usually blow a fair bit of the neighbours dead tree branches into my pool.
But then, getting closer, it was obvious that my blue tongue lizard friend from yesterday had somehow fallen in. I thought it was dead being so bloated. I rushed, hoping there was still some chance of saving it. Luckily, the leaf scoop was nearby, and I had it out with one quick, gentle swoop.
To my surprise and delight, it moved off slowly
It seems they can puff them selfs up as a defensive mechanism so other animals think they are bigger and more dangerous than they are. Puffing itself up also seemed to help it float, and luckily, we were around to get it out.
