Hello everyone. I went on a beautiful walk today and it was finally much cooler and back to our normal temperatures today. I was happy to get out on a walk.
The sky was very blue in the photo above at Sunset Memorial Park.
These tiny pink flowers aren’t open all the way yet, and are in such a beautiful shape. They look like trumpets.
The pink flowers are open all the way above.
There was a cute bumble bee on top of the purple thistle.
The green leaves of the birch trees look so beautiful against the blue sky.
Here is a pretty flower planted below the park sign. It looks like a type of mum but not sure.

I use to watch crow families at my mom's house teach their babies how to fly. They would use mom's deck and fly to fir tree branches. and to other fir tree branches and back to deck railing. It was adorable to watch. Do the pigeon parents teach their babies like that too? I didn't mind cleaning the deck for mom after all the birds were on it. Birds are worth all the cleaning I have to do. 😍 They are beautiful creatures.

Yes these Pigeons (or Doves 🤔) have it pretty good as this seems to be a large structure, maybe 15x8' with different purch places. It has a roof, with a hole in one spot (I am guessing...) and all the purches (?) Above that.
Very interesting, and they seem to come out in the a.m. and check me out!
It does look like a few adults always go out with the young ones, so they are probably teaching them to fly...

Pigeons are caring and loving like crows and parrots too. Pigeons mate for life. They are very under appreciated creatures. I’m so glad you are enjoying their company. I love cats too Les. I visit Moana, Nalu and Laki on Pococha. Moana lives in Hawaii with her 2 rescued cats. She shows us the sites of the Waikiki area she lives in as she walks and takes the bus with one cat at a time on a leash with harness and a bag 💼 Moana Carrie’s for tired kitty or to keep kitty safe. You might enjoy Her chat it’s called “Nalu” 🐈🐈 🌺🌺

Try talking to them softly. Say hello. Sometimes I scare wild birds away
talking to them. If the pigeons are use to people try talking to them.
Say, "Hello, pretty pigeon. You are such a pretty bird" or "You are very pretty
birdies." Talk baby talk to them. They love it! Talk very softly and sweetly.
Birds have the emotions of 2 year old humans and the intelligence of older children
like 5 or 6 year old kids. I read that pigeons know they are looking at their own reflection in the mirror. They are checking you out and maybe shy.😊 They like you
so don't feel bad. My birds did that all the time. They are relaxed around you preening near you hanging out.
Birds have a lot of caring emotions for you if they sit buy you and preen 😄😊

Yes I think they are relaxed around me - The Pigeons...
Today a few of the baby ones, along with a few baby "Jays" of some kind, they weren't blue or red - kinda silver...
They were hanging around a few feet off the porch, kinda doing dances for each other and looking for bugs to eat, it was cute to watch.
It's interesting how different the birds are here - only 5 miles up the shore...
And I have seen quite a few "Ibis" driving back and forth, but none of the "longer legged" birds are here...
You know, I think that they are coming to the realization that I am not there...
Bill wise, and the rest too...
Funny wise a large tree fell from the recent storm in the back yard.
If I still lived there they would find a way to twist things around till I should chop it up and remove it...
But...
I am no longer there...
I heard it mentioned and I say...
You got two young guys there, added together they don't reach my age!

Yes, I'm sure they would try to find ways to twist things into their favor. I'm glad you are not there anymore to be picked on. That is the worst feeling. It's sad how so many young people do not respect their elders. Our society needs to change.
You take care now, Les and watch the young gray/silver birds for me and tell me what colors they are turning when they get older. That will be interesting to find out. Then you will know for sure what kind of birds they are. Maybe a few months you will be able to tell what kind of birds they are.

My nephew and sister are doing much much better now. My brother came over here to visit and offered to help pay to get my nephew's truck fixed. My brother is also giving him a car he worked on that is in fairly good shape. This will help them a lot so they don't feel like nothing. I lectured my brother a few years ago about his attitude. Low and behold he is acting much better now.
I'm so happy my sister, brother, and nephew were still reachable (repairable.)

Ok, thank you for info about the pigeons and jays, Les. I'm sure you know your wild birds,
Sometimes it's hard to tell the baby birds from the adults because they grow so fast!
The baby birds will act silly and goofy and be kind of clumsy and still beg for food from
their parents. 🤣🤣 I learned that watching wild crow families at my mom's house and when I bought my 2 little cockatiels at 4 months of age, they were rather big 😆 but not fully grown and real baby like wanted to be close to me and cuddle.
Yes that would be good if the ex-room mates learn how to survive together better and learn some compassion.
It's a good shock for them now that you're not there, 😊👍

Not to worry, my last two months I took it easy (here) so like people told me - "I get it life happens, even if it's rest"!😉

Very happy to let them live their lives without me. And it's funny to watch, "sad really"... But from what I see right now "they needed this".
It looks like the "son and grandson" thought (since they didn't pay any rent/utilities) I lived there free and they were doing me a favor they could no longer afford... I was supporting them! 😲
So Yes it is Very Good to get back to reality. There are other things as well, beyond money.. The recent Storm made that clear....

Beyond that they like me, I don't have enough experience to know what they are trying to do!
But.. what they are doing is getting pretty close especially the young ones and....
They taught me something I didn't know...
I now know why Noah used a Dove on the ark...
These guys bring me twigs and stuff!
They (young ones) have decided to build something on the branch above the porch! Fun to watch, and I think they are happy I am here.
Also one of the neighbors dogs...
She hangs out at my place and brought me her toy..😀 I give her water , and she hangs around (sometimes) on the porch.
I would like to bring the Cats over, at least one, if not more. This week will tell the tail.. If not - I will get a Cat from the shelter. I forgot to mention the stray cat here has started to also make his presence known.. Hides under the car...

My birds - my cockatiels use to love to tear up baskets into twig sizes and love to carry them around and tear the basket apart 😂😂😂 The baby birds must be doing it because maybe they will build nests of course when they are adults! I'm a little rusty on my knowledge of birds. I still remember now though.
I guess the baby birds are going to build a nest for you LOL! Maybe the twigs are gifts of some kind. If they regurgitate food to you, they are very found of you LOL. That is not vomit. Regurgitating food from their crop in their neck is feeding you, feeding babies, feeding other birds they are fond of. A crop is a food pouch in a birds neck that is above their stomach.
Baby and Beenie use to regurgitate to me some little bits of food like some chewed up seed or pellets or birdie bread I made that was not wheat flour. Oh don't chew anything up for birds and give to them. Human saliva is poisonous to birds. No wet kisses if you ever get a pet bird. Only dry kisses LOL 😂
Yes they ex roommates will need to pay for more stuff. That's good.

And so the bird story....
I cannot say for sure, but the Pigeons seem to be quite fond of me.
They "have" decided to build a nest (2 of the adults) above my porch on a branch. And some young ones are trying to mimic this a bit lower in the tree.
If you watch them awhile you can see these guys play all sorts of games with each other - it's funny to watch!
But they hang around quite a bit, I do see it as a good sign.
What I meant with Noah, was after "the flood" (according to the Bible) he sent out Doves. In the third try (I think) one came back with a Olive branch.
That's what I mean, he knew that that type of bird would bring back something if there was something to bring back. Maybe other birds would not come back...🤔
I made a few trips today, and am down to a few boxes (4) of garbage and that's it.
So...
I am staying here tomorrow, and Friday take that stuff to the trash and that's it!
YAY!
Anyways... This all gave me an Idea....
I think in a year or two I will buy a place here with a acre or maybe more.. And just make a animal habitat. It's pretty easy here to do this and just donate the land to the Audubon Society when you die. Also good dor the Island here!
The "ex-roomates" are having it tough, no doubt about it. On top of all the other issues, now the "son of the son" has COVID... So they are all on lockdown (if your smart).
And finally...
Yeah, I am hoping on the Cat thing myself. I wanted to take Koala here, but due to a few factors... I am not 100% sure. I will figure it out very soon though.

Oh, the doves sound adorable! OK, now I remember the Noah story you told me. I couldn't remember it. I forgot about the dove bringing back the olive branch. Yes the doves definitely love you 😄🕊️🕊️ The birds sound really fun! I think birds are a lot of fun to watch and to have as pets. ((I not saying you should get pet birds. Right now you have some on your porch and in your trees.) I use to watch Baby and Beenie tear up the basket on the floor and carry the sticks around that they chewed off the basket. I got such a kick out of them and they filled my heart with joy!
Wow that would be awesome to buy some land and have it for the birds and other animals!

The Doves (Pigeons) are hanging around and it seems having a good time! Mostly the parents are hanging in the tree above the porch, while the babies hoo around in the ground. They are all dropping off twigs! It's funny to watch because some the drop off by the porch, some the take up in the tree - for the nest they are building. All of the twigs from the babies land next to the porch - the nest is the parents job! 😅
Really odd because they have a "Huge" coop just over the fence..🤔
Actually this all may be getting to be a "problem"... Like the dog that brought me her toy and hangs out"occasionally " on the porch...
I don't mind a bit, but I think others are not liking it... I saw my neighbor had started "tying the dog up, outside"...
Something that is not so cool as it was not like that when I got here.
And...These things made me decide I need to just get a place and let any animal that chooses (as long as there is no fighting..) hang out there....
First here is the Island.. blue dot is where I am...
It looks loke a peninsula, but its an island.. The Stream, brook, whatever cuts through the backside, through the pind and iut ti the ocean.. I will take a few pics some day....
And we are just slightly north of Mexico...
Theoretically you could walk there, or float there...
So... A whole lot of this place is controlled by the Audubon Society... Mostly people did what I want to do and donated the land when they passed, my plan as well. It would work, and I could do something for the animals here - "which I would be very happy to do"! 👍🏼👋🏼👍🏼
Except a piece of a box and a painting (might leave it) and Koala (the Cat) I am out!

I'm feeling a lot better today. My medication is helping me calm down a lot.
I don't like taking this much but it is sure helping for now,
I worry about it making my osteoporosis worse, but I am walking a lot more.
Exercise is real important for everything even bones and then I do some
yoga and push ups and things. I also take a lot of supplements that help repair
your body. I would not want to take the shots for bone loss. I refuse to. I read
some of the side effects were more bone loss. That is insane. I'm sticking with
healthy supplements! I'm basically in good shape for my age.
Oh, wow! Were the black birds starlings? I'm glad you got a lot of animals to your house - An animal magnet.
That is cool it is an island! I love starlings too. They build nests in the eves of the house next door in the spring and are so adorable! The starlings are quite good nest builders and bring back long pieces of grass and even rope they find and bring it under the eves. It's really cute! There are doves here too and pigeons in the neighborhood when I walk.
Poor dog. Yes, the guy might not know any better. I know you probably shouldn't say anything to him. Poor dog wants to play. The guy might get weird. Maybe sometime you can ask if he can play there with you after you get to know the guy better. Do you think the guy is jealous of the dog liking you? Sigh...
My nephew and his mom have been fighting. She said something stupid to the bank on the phone and the froze the debit card and they can't get any money out now. Their bank is not around here. It is a few states away. LOL. But that's how it is now. Some banks are online online banks. I said something to him about taking over her account or getting permission to use it. She is getting worse in the head. It's taking forever for the new debit card to get here.
Yes, the excuses. Oh dear. I think I even use to be that way. Part of it is lack of knowledge. I'm glad I know better now.

My thing on medication is "none". Now I "do" realize that is not the answer for everyone - so no I am not judging.. I "🚬" a lot (by some measures)...
If it is helping You and that's how You feel, then it is OK. As long as it does not become a permanent thing that blurs reality.... But again, the important thing is for people to feel OK, with themselves.
Well I can say, and am certain 100% they are not Starlings, would be nicer though...
These are actually "Mexican Blackbirds". They are between a Crow and a Raven (???) And are Grackles.
This also means they are highly intelligent - and they are!
The males are Black, the females are a tan/brown to dark brown.
They are actually more plentiful here than Pigeons, the only bird there is more of them (at times) is Seagulls.
And like Seagulls, the fly in flocks - which can be large....
If they are in a large flock, they will steal your food. Also smaller shiny objects...
And Yes...
I am a "animal magnet", of sorts.. maybe a "nature magnet"...🤔🤫😉😅
Well... First... I feel very sorry for that dog - really. I am not a dog person, and would treat her better. But... Since this guy also has family members in the neighborhood.. I believe he threw in the towel and took her their.
I think this (currently) because he has disappeared with her, and come back alone.. And then came back with her later and I also know he has some items with them - so I think they are caring for the dog as well.
And yes... I do think that he did not like his dog liking me. Not personally I am sure.. I think he would feel the same if the dog got friendly with anyone...
*Sidebar... Most people here (not the Mexicans or Indians) treat their animals like livestock. Not all, but a surprising amount - and they don't get it...
Well, at the minimum.. They should get two cards for the account, of course if someone freezes the account that means nothing...
Maybe he should take over her account, it really depends on the situation I guess...

Sorry I took awhile to write back. I got pretty tired and had to rest.
I've been walking a lot more than usual and it's great for me, but I've also got very tired. That is what it's like to get into shape 😆
The medicine I have to take the medication or my mood will swing way too much, and I will act - well - not right (insane) from stress. I will be OK. (I know this from trying to cut it down.) The medication helps me function normally. I wish I didn't have to take it but I have to. I do believe as you do - to not take medicine if it's not needed.
Oh wow, I just looked up the Mexican Grackles. They are beautiful! The one in this picture below is so cute LOL! 😂🐦

I'm glad you got away for the bullshit roommates. It will take years for them to come out of this stage if they get some help. My nephew went to get mental health care and got medication. He gets very unbalanced mentally and he's not the same if he doesn't take the medication. (His mom and I got on his case a few years ago.) The same thing happened to me living here, but my problems or illness started when I was a kid. It's not my nephew's, sister's fault though but their attitudes didn't help at all. The mental illnesses instabilities runs in our family is hereditary. So I hope these people will get some help or forced to by someway or another.
Good thing you left NJ. Good thing you are here. The warmer weather is good for arthritis too. Some people love all the different season so that might be why they like it there. The sound of Hawaii is a much better idea though 😃🌴🌴
Yes, I understand what you mean about doing something for the animals now so when you do leave this planet they will be cared for. That is so awesome of you to do. I would do the same thing if possible.

First there will be one or more females...
The males will run each other off...

And they are pretty intelligent, another words...
They will take your Doritos! 😅
No these guys don't play with the Doves, or any other birds really. They either run them off or leave themselves.
Only place I know they get along with others is at this one pond where there are so many other types of birds, they have to play by the rules! 😉😅🤣
Yes, the dog with this guy is becoming a bit heartbreaking for me. As although the dog does (currently) stay with his family during the day. He now brings it home and ties her up outside at night. Since the dog did live inside it is confused...
It is Very Good I escaped that situation, after 16 years of total torture....
It is very hard to say what they need because it is all messed up. But one thing is for sure...
"If" they are ever to have "lives" they need to separate. This Mommy/Son/Grandson thing is not good for them. And think it started without them.. A bit different configuration.
Their problem runs in their family as well... Just others are much smarter about it..
And honestly, I don't see them getting any help for this reason...
It is good I did not end up going to NJ. I have messed up family there. I am sure my brother would force some kind of messed up situation. And since my siblings robbed me already I am somewhat reluctant to help them...🙄
Also, to go to NJ is a little rough coming from 21 years in Germany... Here it is a "little" easier and the Tropical environment has its pluses! 🏝️

You probably already know that birds remember faces. I think they all remember faces, but it's been scientifically proven with crows and pigeons. I think all birds remember faces as well as other animals. My pet cockatiels knew my face from faces of strangers. My pet cockatiels also knew my sister's face and voice. They adored her. 💖💖💖😍

Well believe it or not...
When I lived in Germany (which in ways I miss...) This was my favorite time of the year.
I absolutely "Loved" the Autumn in "Esslingen". I actually loved Esslingen, though if I was still alive (there) I would be a insane alcoholic by now....
For "here", This is also the best time of year. Except a few weeks around end of Dec./Jan. It's Great here from now till May. But is is tropical.

To be 100% honest... I had dated this woman in the late 90's to around 2004 or around there. And same situation.. We shared a house, it was great.. Her son was there but he was young then (when I first met her he was 7). So to mess up everything she invited her mom to live with us, it was a big house (I thought). Well in no time.. This woman had the whole thing against me.
Same thing...
I had moved out a few years and had another house.. I was having some bumps in the road, so to speak so she said she had a house and we could split it, etc., Etc...
Her son was living there (and another woman I knew) and they all left.
For a few years it was OK, then she invited her son back. Then he invited the son he created back as well.
Then same thing. This is all with lots of gaslighting, and abuse. Some of that "keep the hamster on the wheel"..
Even to the bizarre...
I "now" realize from beginning to end I was seen as an income source for these people, nothing more....
Glad to be out, and not happening again!
The family, actually "the same thing". My mother was a total narcissist. And had a lot of influence over my brother and sister. I am different and like my Dad. Long story short, with the help of my mother from the grave they robbed me of over $100,000.00
And I still talk to them...

This place is on the "migratory path". Birds fly through here going North for the summer and South for the winter.
I know from the old house (and I am sure the same is true for everywhere here) that birds come through fall and spring, not to count the ones that just live here.
Now Amazing is that birds will fly through here land in a tree in the spring, and try to come back to the same tree in the fall.
That is recognition!
I saw at the old house where a neighbor cut down some Salt Cider Trees...
The Vultures came back through and just circled the area..
Also saw it with Woodpeckers that came back in fall and their tree fell in the summer...
Amazing! Of course maybe they were using me for a marker as well....🤔
Well you know, your right. However from that "all" I learned a lot about people.
As someone said once, since I was in the Army at the latest 17...
There is a lot of life people learn between 18-25 I didn't because I wasn't there...
Today I can say "True Words", so good I have learned something and put it behind me. Also... As I am a person who has learned much from "Carlos Castenada", he recommends such things - actually his benefactor does.
To break out of such things is better for your character than to have never gone through them...
Well the family scam, so to speak is only "Mom, Brother, and Sister - to a lesser degree". Other than tell me what was up (and he may not have known in the beginning...) My Dad was totally innocent. And I truly Love him. After what I have gone through I understand him a whole lot better and he was scammed (in reality) as well.
Bad deal (in a family) when "Mom" is a Narcissist....
The land project will take awhile, probably 1-2 years depending...
But I have some friends by San Antonio that have done this as well - so I have ideas! 😉😁
The dog is only sometimes at the neighbors.. As I can see his place from mine.. The dog is back home again, tied up outside. 😞
And that's the thing right there. I don't want to see that. And if I do... I want to be able to say hey I have a place, let me take her.
Anyways, the dog can definitely use the Prayers - Still. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I want to bring the Cats over this Friday. I hope it works, and I hope that they adjust to living here - OK..I don't want this to turn into a death sentence, and leaving one there just might...😳🤔😞
