Making scrunchies from leftover fabrics (Upcycling)

If you're a tailor or you just have pieces of fabrics lying around your home, here's how you can turn it into something useful in this post. Stay tuned and continue reading...
So I had this leftover fabrics, most of them Satin material (Which is the most fit for this), other fabric types are also there and can be used.
I have a lot of these scraps so I carefully sorted out potential ones as you can see in the image below:

So the first step here is to cut the fabric to the length and width. I used length of 15 inches, and the width of 7 inches (3.5 inches on fold)

I did the same for the rest of them.

Next I run a stitch on the edges to close it up.

Next I flip it over to the right side and then Ironed them flat.

After ironing it and making it smooth and flat, It was time to insert the half inch elastic band through it. The length of the elastic I used is 5 inches.

Once the elastic goes through the fabric and you tie the edges, the fabric starts getting curvy.
And next I finish the edge of the fabric with a smooth stitch and below is how it turned out.

I repeated the process for each one of them.

I did it all till I got about 13 scrunchies from my leftover fabrics.

And I've been rocking some of these scrunchies, the ones I made for myself.

I will be making more as I still have a lot of leftover fabrics and I've found more satins too at home. I already posted this on my status and getting some order from school. So this is a great way to make extra income and it's actually very fun to make. It can also be used as a gift option for the girlies, gifts mustn't be seasonal and this could really be a good surprise.
I hope you can try this with those leftovers lying around. Upcycling and giving life to old stuff is super fun and you'll be glad you did.
Thank you all for your time here, I'll be sharing more upcycling ideas as much as I can. See you all next time!
