Hello Rising Star Gamers

Welcome back again to my Starbits Every Night, a routine post I make on a night time when I play Rising Star Game.

I am happy I can continue this giveaway again due to all the hectic we have on Hive-Engine. I have gone hiatus for 12 days and finally managed to get back have this party run again. Today is the 4th episode of Aqua, a dance pop group from early 2000 era.

We have been doing this format since August 2023 and I would like to thank to all Giveaway Participant who kept following on our theme. Below is a table describing how we have run this Giveaway

Barbie and Ken

Aqua first album had two funny songs, kind of parody, about a movie and a doll. The first one a movie, was Dr. Jones who was actually a character from Indiana Jones movies which were very famous that time.

The second one, or better to be said the most famous one, the one that became their trademark or signature, was Barbie Girl. It's a song about Barbie Doll, Barbie and her boyfriend Kent. Barbie Girl was their most successful single too.

However things were different with Dr Jones, this song somehow pissed off Barbie's brand onwer, the company that produced the doll. So there went their Law Suit against the Record Label, the MCA. The dispute went for 5 years long, because MCA and Aqua could not accepted they got sue too, so they sued back.

In the end the court demanded both of them to chill off and the case got diminished.

The Acceptance

Despite the rejection and legal sue from each party toward each other, somehow finally the music gets accepted by the Barbie manufacturer. In 2023 they made Barbie movie which employed Barbie Girl song, however it's not the original one.

The song they chose was this one, a remake by Nicky Minaj. The most important thing was both side managed to chill out and made peace.
