My mini contest.

Potato is a tuber and it's versatile, it can be baked, mashed, boiled, roasted, fried and more. I love eating my potatoes when it's boiled, fried or baked. Infact I mostly prefer the baked as it can be eaten just like that without stew and it more healthy because our stew majorly contains oil, and most times we feel like staying a day or more a way from oil.

I love Irish potato and sweet potatoes, the two can serve same purpose while in some cases they don't. Some people say Irish potato isn't delicious, so I felt until I tasted it for the very first time, today it's my favorite.

You're right, potatoes are versatile, and there are many ways to cook them. I personally don't know the Irish potato variety, but I'm sure it's delicious. Eating baked potatoes is actually very healthy, as well as delicious.

Great idea for today's contest, I missed the previous one.

Here is my mini contest!

Potatoes are one of my favorite tubers. How potatoes are indeed one of the wonders of food that makes it so special. Now if I am asked, which potato do you prefer, fried, boiled or baked? The answer is yes, I prefer fries, somehow potatoes taste better fried. Although it may not be good for your health. Potatoes that are seasoned and then fried is something spectacular to me. In Indonesia alone, potatoes do have tons of fried culinary preparations, all of which taste amazing to me. Including one of the recipes I shared on my blog about mustofa potatoes made by frying and then seasoning, ahh it was delicious.

Oh my! What a wonderful way to enjoy potatoes 🥔. Just like you said dear friend, when potatoes are fried they taste so good and different. I love ❤️ them fried, cut into finger strips and enjoyed as snacks.

Although we know it adds extra calorie when fried but its one of the best ways to enjoy this versatile vegan 🌱 plant base.

It's true that French fries in small pieces is a heavenly flavor even though it's annoying in the context of my diet. But I only enjoy them occasionally when I want to have them immediately.

It's good to see you participating. Potatoes are certainly a special, healthy, nutritious, and versatile tuber. And you're right, fried and seasoned potatoes are delicious, even if they're not 100% healthy. But since they're not something we eat every day, they're fine once in a while.

I think french fries are the favorite of many people because of the flavor they get after contact with the oil. There are many versions to combine them fried. From time to time I can enjoy them fried to get out of the routine, but I prefer them boiled. Greetings.

Here's my mini participation.

Potato is a tuber plant commonly grown in cold region here in Nigeria. It has a lot of nutritional benefits that are of good benefits to the body. Often used to reduce the saltiness of an already cooked food. It can be cooked or prepared in so many ways( boiled, fried mashed etc) even as snacks most time. For me I enjoy fried potatoes with ketchup by the side. I can eat it any day and anytime I can even choose it over other tuber crops. I love how crunchy it is and tender it feels in the mouth leaving you wanting more.

French fries with ketchup are delicious, and yes, they make you want to eat and eat nonstop, hahahahaha. Adding potatoes to soups or savory stews to subtract that flavor is a pretty good technique.

Hi, you reminded me of my mom who used to add potatoes to casseroles when they were too salty. When I eat fries I also like them with ketchup, delicious. Cheers.

My participation on the Vegan mini contest

Potatoes are indeed versatile and nutritious tubers used in different recipe. I have eaten fried , mashed, boiled and roasted potatoes. While growing up fried potatoes was my favorite but now that I am older I discovered it is no more healthy for me , I switched to roasted potatoes. I love crispy roasted potatoes and scramble tofu with topping. I can as well enjoy roasted potatoes with porridge beans Or as snacks with soy milk. Roasted potatoes recipes gives me a satisfying crunchy texture on the outside and tender texture on the inside, I so much like the natural sweetness and flavour when roasted with olive oil and spice.

You're right, French fries are delicious, but they're high in calories. The way you prepare them now, roasted and seasoned with oil and spices, is much healthier, and yes, they're a must-have in any kitchen.

Hello, the roasted version I have not tried it seems metira, you have given me an idea to prepare them in a different way. I like the fact that they will have a crunchy texture, it made my mouth water. Cheers.

I like mashed potatoes. I've prepared them this way. I cook the potatoes without the skin and add salt. When they're soft, I drain the water, add a little milk, butter, and grated cheese.

I also like to cook them without the skin. I chop them into small pieces. When they're soft, I drain the water, add grated white cheese, and onion that I sauté in butter, and that's it.

I also like them baked. I put them in the oven with their skin on. When they're cooked, I stuff them with cheddar cheese.

I also like to eat them with lentils.

I also prepare them boiled. I prepare ground beef separately. I cook the beef with onion, chives, garlic, leek, paprika, and sweet pepper. Then I make meatballs with the potato and ground beef, and fry them in lard.

I don't make French fries because I eat them while I'm frying them.

My Participation In The Vegan Mini Contest.

Potatoes are wonderful source of nutrition in our diets. As we know, these delicious vegetables tuber that we found in most receipe today are of various kinds. In my country, the popular ones is the sweet potatoes and the carrot potatoes.

I on my part I prefer fried potato with fried sliced chicken and wash it down with juice. But as for the carrot potatoes I prefer eating it cooked with stew or egg sauce. Though my family prefer cooking it with beans due to its sweetened nature, but as for me I don't really like sweetening things.

Be that as it may, variety is the spice of life. It is a matter of choice.

However you like to eat potatoes, it's fine. I'm not familiar with carrot potatoes; I assume it's a variety. And certainly, everyone has their own unique tastes when it comes to eating them.

Well my discussion about how tasty and delicious potatoes are it is something that I can't really tell but for you to have a good taste of it by yourself definitely give you a deep reduce of your hunger when you have a bite of that nutrition potatoes. However you wanna prepare them you can run it up nicely and it doesn't actually need hardwork and it doesn't cost much time when it is being prepared and done for satisfy the stomach when you eat them really good.

I like my potatoes boiled, soft but not mushy, with just a touch of salt. There’s something comforting and simple about boiled potatoes they’re filling, healthy, and let the flavor of whatever I pair them with shine. My favorite way to enjoy them is with either fried eggs or a flavorful stew.

When I’m in the mood for something quick and satisfying, I go for boiled potatoes with fried eggs. The crispy edges of the eggs with that slightly runny yolk mix perfectly with the mildness of the potatoes. It’s the kind of meal that brings instant comfort.

On days when I want something more hearty, I love boiled potatoes with stew especially when the stew is rich, spicy, and full of meat or vegetables. The potatoes soak up all that flavor, and every bite feels warm and filling. It’s simple, classic, and always satisfying.

Recipe: Boiled Potatoes with Fried Eggs

Ingredients:

5 medium potatoes or more (because i love to eat)

Salt (for taste)

Water (for boiling)

3 eggs

Cooking oil or butter

Optional: pepper, onions, chili flakes and carrots

Recipe: Boiled Potatoes with Stew

Ingredients:

4 medium potatoes

Salt (to taste)

Water (for boiling)

For the Stew:

2 tablespoons oil

1 onion, chopped

2 tomatoes, chopped or blended

1-2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)

Meat or fish, chicken (cooked or fried) or mixed vegetables

1 seasoning cube or spice mix

Salt and pepper to taste

Chili or curry powder (optional)

Greetings dear friends of #plantpoweronhive, this is my participation in the vegan mini contest. The potato is one of the stem tubers that I like the most and that is why it is always present in my kitchen. It is a very versatile vegetable, it can be used in soups, au gratin with cheese, in stews, there is no stew that I prepare without potatoes and its friend the carrot, in salads it is the protagonist, I like to prepare it with carrots and beets, also just with tomato and onion. French fries are the most popular, they accompany hamburgers and go very well with tomato sauce. Despite the many recipes that can be made with potatoes, I prefer them very simple, boiled to make salads and also mashed. I'm not a big fan of fried foods, so I really enjoy my simple and healthy version when I eat potatoes. I invite @leidimarc to participate.

MY PARTICIPATION INTO THE (Vegan Mini Contest #3) How Do You Prefer To Eat Your Potatoes?

This very plant base root tuber, potato 🥔, is one food that has and does magic in our kitchens. And apart from its versatilities, its a plant 🌱 food we can enjoy in any way prepared because of how delicious it taste.

And on like other foods we must cook with lots of ingredients to be able yo enjoy them, potatoes 🥔 are different because we can enjoy them in simple preparation with or without ingredients. This is what makes this tuber so versatile.

I enjoy potatoes in different recipes like potato soup where I add spices to it for a cold day, quick lunch of boiled potatoes with sauce, sometimes can mash my potatoes as swallow with vegetable soup. Other days it could be baked or toasted for a light dinner with lots of onions and slight salt in it. But in all, I prefer eating my potatoes seasoned and fried. This is best way I mostly enjoy eating potatoes because its the most delicious making the French Fries 🍟 the most versatile.

Although fries 🍟 can be fattening, but we must also adopt other ways to loose weight if we love fries 🍟 .

However, we should note to always soak our potatoes 🥔 with water after peeling for at least 10 minutes to remove some excess starch if we like eating Sweet potatoes 🍠 instead of Irish potatoes 🥔.
