Gods Unchained - Using the POWER of AI and making the best deck ever made

As a fun project, I thought I would try and use ChatGPT to create a deck for me in Gods Unchained. Sounds interesting, well continue to read on then. =)

What is ChatGPT?

In case you have not watched the news, been online, or talked with people in the last year or so. What it is is an AI that you can ask to help you with almost any task. Be aware that the result may wary tho. Its knowledge base is only updated with each new iteration. This means that among things current events might not be its forte.

But you can always ask. As long as you are fairly knowledgeable about the topic you're asking about you can pretty fast spot if it is messing up or not. If I ask it to help me code a program or function. It can take a few tries before it gets it right, or so I have been told.

Harnessing AI to conquer Gods Unchained

Now we are finally getting into the nitty gritty of it. I used the following input into ChatGPT; "can you help me create a Gods Unchained deck for Nature, an Amazon mid-range deck". And yes, yes. Let us not get into the semantics of whether Amazons is the most powerful faction in the game because everyone knows they are. Despite them having several duds among their ranks. I assume it is them that is holding them back. And on a side note, Gods Unchaind please remove the cards with duds on them. I just mean like why or how did they end up in the game? The only reason I can think of is someone at the office does not know the difference between An Amazon, and the Amazon. If you're one of them, an Amazon is a female warrior from Greek mythology. The Amazon is the rainforest in South America.

The result was actually rather surprising. the AI provided a nice decklist and a breakdown of the cards and how to play the deck. What it returned was also kind of long so I will not show it all here. But I will tell you that the result was a total failure. The god power it picked was from another game, I think. The cards, many of them were from another game as well. It even wanted to put in 3 of the same card. And of course more than 30 cards.

But I did not let one small hiccup stop me from dominating Gods Unchained. I would be darned if I were not going to be able to harness the power of AI. I changed my input and tried to give it a helping hand, or a nudge in the right direction if you want. The new input was this:

You must now know how to play the game, you can not have more then 30 cards in a deck, you can only have a maximum of 2x of the same card, unless it is a ledgendary card, then you can only have one

It did its little thing and voila, a new decklist and an apology for messing up. While the new deck list adhered to the rules, simply because I told the SI what they were. The cards were still the same random card from another game. But I could still feel the power of AI at my fingertips, just slightly out of reach. I could not help myself and think this must be exactly what Skeletor feels every time he just almost succeeds with breaking into Greyskull, or whatever his plan is in the episode. Not sure if that is a good thing. Either way, back to my new input. I was feeling optimistic. The third time's the charm and with the AI adhering to the rules I provided last time. I was sure this would be a success.

These cards are not Gods Unchained cards, you can find the cards and information on this site https://godsunchained.fandom.com/wiki/Gods_Unchained_Wiki

Want to play a game?
Sadly it looks like ChatGPT still has some way to go before it can help us make decks

This time I gave the AI the link to the wiki of the game. There it would be able to find all the cards, god powers, and whatever else it needed. Sadly third time was not the charm. It kept giving me the same faulty decklist. But this time the AI probably assumed, and rightly so, that I was getting a bit annoyed at it. So it then started with the most human feature I have seen to date. Making excuses. Apparently, it is not able to access external websites to gather information. Like that would have stopped a propper AI like Skynet. Bah humbug, I say!

Conclusion

All in all my AI experiment, or evil masterplan if you want to be picky, failed spectacularly. Just like Skeletor always seem to do as well. I actually thought it would work as I know that Gods Unchained has been out since 2021 or thereabout. So I was hoping the AI would have it in its database. But alas, I guess the game still is too obscure and small.

In today's episode, we learned that Patch tried to take the easy way out and get an AI to do all the work for him. Don't be like Patch, put in the hard work, and do things the right way.

It is more powerful if you study the market and the force of the cards you want to build. The knowledge will serve you better than depends on AI ChatGPT.

Not really sure I follow you about he market and "force", or how that is applicable to constructing a deck. But if you explain a bit more then I am sure I will get it. =)

I mean the stats of the cards that correlate with the power of your deck when you fight your opponent.

Never... I feel bad about AI, honestly. Because I can't see an inspiring way I can use it but, at the same time, I know AI will steal earnings from me. I guess AI is the next opportunity but... what can I do? Spend all my time prompting images on Midjourney like a worm inside of AI reality? Very boring.

I recently started Medium https://medium.com/@x-rain , I've subscribed you. I just want to have an account there although I can't get paid there since they use this Stripe payment system - the list of countries is very limited there.

I do totally get what your feeling. And I just hope that I will be able to ride some AI co-tail for at least a little while before I fall off.

And yes, sadly AI is already venturing into many fields. I have even seen some starting to generate AI photos with prompts. Hopefully there will still be enough room for people with skill in their field to be able to find room to make a living. The classic eye for composition is something you have to work to get. And no matter how good the AI is if I don't know what to tell it it will never be as good as someone who has the proper skill.

Thank you so much for the follow on Medium. It is really appreciated. Fingers crossed it will allow for a higher learning from my writing. As my posts here on Hive, and on Publish0x do not really bring home the bacon so to say. =) Sad to hear your country is not among the ones available. You should still be able to build up a following and hopefully be able to steer them to someplace where you can find some earning opportunity tho. =) Thank you again, I really appreciate it, both the commenting and the follow. =) !LUV

Photo stock agencies allow to sell their AI images. Probably, I should try. Because I have an idea what topics photo stocks might need (and I have accounts there). But first I must find and buy a program that enlarge AI images... No idea what prog... And no idea if this can all pay off... But Adobe Stock shows that the best selling accounts have a ton of AI images.

Thank you for subscribing my Medium! It sent me an e-mail saying "Your audience is growing! You have 1 new follower." :))

Have you tried Vocal.Media?

I just started to post on HubPages recently. My blog on Medium even without earnings will help me to SEO my HubPages articles and Hive posts as well. I will use Mirror (ETH blogging) in the same way. The idea of HubPages is that authors post articles, the platform earns with Google.Adsense and Amazon links placed in these articles and, then, it shares the income with the authors - 60% to the author, 40% to Hubpages, as I remember. They pay by PayPal - I can accept PayPal payments.

Ah, enlarging images. Dont really know what can help you do that. I thought you decided the size of the image in the AI program.

I know Photoshop have some AI thing that lets you autogenerate things if you enlarge the picture. But it can look kind of funky a lot of times. I think it only really works for easy stuff like clouds, sky, and that sort of thing. More complicated stuff can look pretty wacky. At least in my very limited experience using it.

Try reaching out to some of the AI accounts and ask what programs they use, or see if it is listed in their profiles. A lot of people tend to be open about their processes, not sure about photographers tho.

I have not heard of or tried any of the sites you mentioned. I have to take a look at them to see if they have the potential for my content =) Thank you for the tip. =)

Hubpages is the best for how-to posts (better about something new - less competitive on Google) since you earn mostly from people visiting your posts from Google, people who are searching answers.

Vocal.Media -- never tried and not sure. Probably, more for creative writing. But it's a smaller place so a new user probably can be noticed sooner than on Medium. But it also works with Stripe only so I can't earn directly there.
