Active Armed Conflicts Around The World
Guys the past years we have seen some major conflicts starting with the most prominent being the Russo- Ukrainian war but have any of us thought how much conflicts are active around the world?
So the active conflicts right now

Russia vs Ukraine
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine is rooted in the annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014, following Ukraine's political shift towards the West. The situation escalated with the pro-Russian insurgency in Eastern Ukraine, particularly in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The conflict reach each climax 24 February 2022 when Russia Invaded Ukraine.
Israel vs Hamas
The Israel-Hamas conflict is a long-standing dispute primarily centered around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Hamas, an Islamist political and militant group, controls the Gaza Strip. Tensions often erupt into violence, with Israel and Hamas engaging in periodic conflicts, including rocket attacks, airstrikes, and ground operations. The latest all out war started on October 7 2023.
Myanmar Civil War
Myanmar has experienced various conflicts, but the current civil war involves clashes between the military (Tatmadaw) and various ethnic armed groups seeking autonomy or independence. The conflict escalated after the military coup in February 2021, triggering widespread protests.
Sudanese Civil War
A war between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) under Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) under Hemedti, rival factions of the military government of Sudan, began on 15 April 2023.
Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict
The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict involves territorial disputes between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh region. The conflict has historical roots but flared up in 2020, resulting in a short but intense war. Russia brokered a ceasefire, but tensions persist, with ongoing efforts to find a lasting solution.
Syrian Civil War
The Syrian Civil War began in 2011 with anti-government protests evolving into a complex conflict involving multiple actors. The Syrian government, backed by Russia and Iran, faces opposition groups with varying ideologies. Additionally, the rise of extremist groups like ISIS further complicated the situation. International intervention and proxy involvement have shaped the course of the conflict.
Libyan Civil War
The Libyan Civil War involves various factions vying for control since the ousting of Muammar Gaddafi in 2011. Competing governments, tribal rivalries, and external interventions have fueled the conflict. The situation remains fluid, with ongoing efforts to establish stability and a unified government but a full on civil war continuing even now.
Those, of course, are not the only active conflicts at the moment. There are many more, far more times, but those are the most significant at the moment because the escalation of each one of those might have significant repercussions for the whole world. This is because it can draw more countries in and escalate to a regional or, in the worst-case scenario, a world war.
MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA HAS MORE THAN 45 ARMED CONFLICTS
AFRICA HAS MORE THAN 35 ARMED CONFLICTS

Pretty sure if someone rid us of Putin a bunch of these conflicts would stop.
Ukrainian obviously, Syrian probably, the Niger nonsense, Venezuela would back down, Iran would back off, Hamas would be nowhere, Houthi.
Basically all dictatorships would become more silent.
Thats where we are now. Any world war that might happen will be autocracies vs democracies.
Unfortunately all this was brought forth by the degeneracy of the left that brought forth the conspiracy theorist, extremist right winger lunatics into the mainstream.
Now you no longer have a consensus on the basic things like not supporting dictatorships which right wingers, in many cases do.
Yes if Putin was out of the picture then a lot of conflicts would be over and the resources that are needed to help Ukraine could be redirected to the Middle East that at this time is the most dangerous place on earth because a WW could be ignited at any moment. The US and NATO are overstretched and anyone that wants something believes it’s the time to take it.
I dont think the Middle East would be a catalyst. Israel has nukes and if in danger of losing their state they would probably flatten Iran.
Right now basically all Russia through Iran can do in Israel is push the Hamas lunatics to die for their "martyrdom". All that will achieve is a bunch of dead civilians.
If anything the catalyst for a WW might be Russia going into the Baltics if Trump wins and they think he will not come to Europe aid (something he apparently said). Then we have a problem.
Where are the other six European armed conflicts?
Ukraine
Transdniestria
South Ossetia and Abkhazia
Nagoro Karabakh
Crimea
Donetsk and Luhansk those are counted as separate arm conflicts despite being between essentially between Russia and Ukraine
Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk are part of Ukraine, that should still count as one.
Nagoro Karabakh is in Asia, in Azerbaijan.
geographically Azerbaijan is consider part of Eastern Europe and West Asia that is probably the reason that the reason that The Geneva Academy considers it as a European conflict .And on those 3 provinces of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk there are no conflicts between the Ukrainian and Russian armies but there are local militias fighting the Russian occupation with the support of Ukraine that is probably the reason that they are counting it as separate conflicts of a larger war.
Nagorno Karabakh issue is over after Azerbaijan took full control of its disputed region. Things are at calm now, there are minimal rebel activities and nothing much.
let's see how many more 2024 will bring
