To Stablecoin Or Not To Stablecoin

This year started really great, I had enough money to finally start building my crypto portfolio, this was everything I dreamt of, this was the final piece of the puzzle to make me feel fulfilled. So I started going to my crypto wishlist and started buying all the tokens and coins I was supposed to buy. After buying them I felt fulfilled, I couldn’t wait to start taking profit, I imagined that the next time I check my portfolio I would be in huge profit. 5 months after I came back and saw that 85% of the value of my portfolio is gone, I am down 85%. I started feeling bad and regretting, wishing I had left them in stable coins.

But this feeling is only felt because it went down 85%, few years ago when my money was in stable and I didn’t buy any coin or token, I was regretting not buying wishing I had bought earlier. Now this has put me in weird position, I have been in a situation where I wished I bought, I have also been in a situation where I wished I didn’t buy, so what do I do? Keep leaving my coin in stable or keep trying my luck by investing what I can afford to lose till it finally clicks?

Only buying and patiently holding volatile stuff for years, if needed, and selling at the right time can get you somewhere in the crypto waters. Sometimes what goes down almost 100 % jumps back up, and jumps high ... not everything, some shit drowns forever, but ... no risk - no gains ... that's my experience so far.

I once went through a thing like this, regretting up and down. To be frank, I do not like leaving my cash in stable currency. It's either I win or lose, which I believe, if I am to lose it will not be much, and I will rise again.

It's all about risk bro, and it's either we take it or we leave it. Now leaving it is where this regret do come from.

So, i suggest buying tokens you believe on the project, setting personal target, on a certain time frame, and watching it daily.

This isn't only going to give you profit, but it will as well help you to understand the movement of that token.

Also, depending on the token, you can check the percentage of the dev. Risk score, and all other things that will make you stay safe and not loosing.

Success bro.

Sadly I have bought a lot of tokens because I believed in the project but they disappointed me at the end

Stablecoin is a guaranteed 7% loss per year due to inflation.

Personally, I mostly stay away from altcoins. I focus on fixed-supply coins like Bitcoin and Litecoin. Bitcoin is a no-brainer. Litecoin is a long-term play as its chart has shown consistently higher lows over time.

The only altcoins I have are liquid staked ETH and liquid staked CRO as I can use both as DeFi collateral and they both naturally increase over time due to stake compounding.

I have HIVE mainly because I have more control. I can earn more of it.

If I were to speculate for this bull market, it would mainly be SUI. But I expect it to crash once the bull market runs its course.

Of course, Bitcoin and Litecoin will also have a drop; but that would be the time to buy more. These I expect to hold for the long term in one wallet. In another wallet, they for spending.

SUI has shown better potential but I just think it's just for the moment, long term I will choose BTC, ETH and LTC

I guess the timing also plays a part. I personally would want to have some stablecoins at all times. What I fear is not having sufficient exposure to within the market to the point I miss the gains when they come. For the losses, I think it's temporary, as long as I don't click that sell button.
