Hive debt ratio exceeded 20-30% threshold (now ~44%), triggering safety mechanism. Author rewards now pay 100% in HIVE (50% liquid, 50% staked HP) instead of 50/50 HBD/HIVE. Low HIVE price caused itโno crisis, normal protection. Debt reduces over time; HBD resumes below threshold or if HIVE rises to ~$0.10.

There are a ton of macro indicators to follow besides the ISM. One ISM-based view drew pushback from about ten different macro analysts.
Other macro indicators that affect crypto deserve discussion.
Many expect global M2 to expand from here. One view holds it will top within a few months and then decline as the DXY rallies. Historically, BTC tops before M2; in the last cycle BTC bottomed shortly after M2 peaked.
US interest rates remain above the 2-year yield, approximated here as the neutral rate. If that holds, policy is still restrictive and immediate rate cuts seem unlikely.
Unemployment typically rises into summer, which will likely need to be addressed soon. Hires, job openings, and quits are all very low.
SPX is near all-time highs, making it harder for the Fed to supply the liquidity needed to move crypto markets.
Even if QT has ended, that isnโt dispositiveโQT ended in 2019 and BTC still fell afterward.
Itโs easy to pick a single macro indicator narrative, but the macro picture is complicated. No one group gets a monopoly on using macro to justify their views.
