The Great War Weekly Summary: A Year of Struggles and Shattered Morale
The latest edition of the Great War weekly update offers a sobering overview of the brutal realities faced by the Allied and Central Powers as 1915 nears its end. From the brutal trenches of Italy to the tumultuous campaign in Macedonia and the declining fortunes at Gallipoli, the war's toll is painfully evident.
For most of the period, the Central Powers maintained the upper hand, occupying vast territories in the east, defeating Serbia, and achieving significant victories at Gallipoli. They managed to hold their positions in Italy and the Western Front while planning further advances. Notably, the upcoming week promises more success, with Bulharis poised to push British and French troops out of Macedonia. These successive victories highlight the resilience and strategic positioning of the Central Powers during this phase of the war.
Despite initial efforts, the Italian front had become a nightmare for the Italian Army by late 1915. After four decisive battles at Sochi, Italy's forces were on the brink of collapse. The soldiers suffered heavy casualties—around 400,000 since May—and morale was plummeting. Their dire conditions were compounded by a lack of essential equipment, such as proper weapons, clothing, and food. Soldiers faced deadly machine gun fire unprotected by adequate trenches, many of which were shallow and filthy, often filled with mud and waste.
Uniforms had become thin as paper, with worn wool clothing and fragile shoes with cardboard tops and wooden soles that caused foot injuries. Hygienic conditions were deplorable, with inadequate water containers, leaking tents, and ineffective barbed wire cutters rendered useless under enemy fire. Food was scarce and of such poor quality that many soldiers refused to eat it, leading to hunger amidst the trenches.
The soldiers endured extreme hardships, including exposure to sub-zero temperatures and inadequate shelter. They cooked their meals with makeshift stoves that tasted of gasoline, and their nights were spent huddled together in holes to keep warm. Strict discipline under General Luigi Cadorna prohibited leisure activities like visiting cafes or socializing with civilians, and soldiers faced arrest even for simple gestures like holding hands with their fiancées.
Morale plummeted further as Cadorna’s harsh policies and the brutal realities of trench warfare led to widespread discontent. Some commanding officers, like General Vincenzo Garioni, bizarrely justified massacres of infantry as “therapeutic” to strengthen the army. The result was chaos—soldiers lacked basic training, didn’t understand trench tactics, and suffered from disease and poor hygiene. The situation culminated in the first major mutiny in the Italian Army, with a quarter of the 48th Regiment reduced from 3,000 to just 700 men after four months in the trenches. This unrest led to executions, with two soldiers shot after a mutiny and other disciplinary measures that shocked observers.
The mutinity’s aftermath saw swift, harsh punishments. A platoon returning to the front faced summary executions—eight men were sentenced to death following a military court. The entire unit was forced to witness these executions before being sent back into combat, exemplifying the catastrophic breakdown in discipline and the desperate state of the Italian military effort.
The Gallipoli campaign, a pivotal failure for the Allies, was finally nearing its end. Evacuation plans, scheduled for December 19, threatened a chaotic withdrawal from a heavily fortified beachline. With around 83,000 Allied troops, including heavy artillery and supplies, and dangerous weather conditions, the operation posed tremendous risks. Brigadier General Brundenell White devised a plan to retreat under cover of darkness, but many questions remained whether the Allies would succeed in withdrawing without catastrophic losses.
Meanwhile, in Macedonia, the Allied forces, primarily British and French troops, faced a Bulgarian counterattack. By December 11, the Bulgarians launched a final offensive along the Vardar River, inflicting significant casualties (around 8,000 men lost) and pushing the Allies towards Greece. On December 12, the British and French forces crossed into Greece, with Greek authorities granting free movement to the Allied armies. Despite their difficult retreat over treacherous terrain and a narrow single-track railway, the French General Maurice Sarrail expertly managed the withdrawal, losing only about 3,500 men.
Bulgarian forces, now numbering around 80,000, claimed key Macedonian towns, consolidating their hold on the region. In a symbolic declaration on December 14, Bulgaria celebrated its gains, claiming to have defeated the last enemy forces in Macedonia and marking Serbia's fall in a mere 40 days, compared to just 10 for the Allies—a testament to the shifting power balance.
The week’s broader military developments include Russian advances into Bulgaria, capturing the Hamadan region in Persia, and repulsing rebel forces in the Middle East. British forces under Colonel Gordon defeated 1,200 Senussi fighters in North Africa, while General Horace Smith Dorrien was appointed to lead the Eastern African campaign. His previous successes at Mons and Ypres were marred by disagreements with other Allied leaders, leading to his temporary removal from command.
As 1915 draws to a close, the staggering human toll becomes even more apparent. The weekly report emphasizes the immense suffering—from Italian soldiers in the trenches to exhausted Serbian and Balkan troops facing freezing conditions. The war's brutality has shattered morale across the front lines, resulting in mutinies, executions, and disillusionment among soldiers.
Despite the ongoing destruction, the report reflects on the soldiers’ hopes for Christmas—an event that many assumed they would be home for in 1914, only to realize the war would extend far beyond. The week ends with a poignant reminder of the immense loss, suffering, and despair faced by those fighting in the trenches, and the uncertain path toward the wartime conclusion.
This detailed weekly overview underscores both the relentless hardships endured on every front and the fragile, often fleeting victories that defined this tumultuous phase of the Great War.

The Life and Legacy of Field Marshal John French: A Veteran of Imperial Wars and a Man Unprepared for Modern Warfare
Polní maršál John French, a towering figure of the British military, dedicated his life to service and adventure during the era of the British Empire’s colonial conquests. His career spanned from the late 19th century into the tumultuous years of World War I, reflecting a seasoned soldier whose experiences in colonial wars did not fully prepare him for the unprecedented horrors of modern global conflict.
Born on September 28, 1852, in Ripple Vale, England, John Denton Pinkstone French’s life was shaped by early hardships. His father, William French, served as an officer in the Royal Navy but passed away when John was just two years old. Following his father’s death, his mother, Margaret, suffered severe depression, leading to John and his elder sister Charlotte being placed under the care of relatives in London.
At only 14, French entered the Royal Navy, embarking on a lifelong military journey. However, in 1874, he transitioned to the army, where his career rapidly gained momentum. His early service took him to distant colonies and conflicts, laying the foundation for his eventual prominence.
In 1885, French participated in the Nile expeditions in Sudan, notably during the rescue attempt of General Charles Gordon in Khartoum. Although the rescue mission failed and Gordon was killed, French’s bravery and leadership caught the attention of his superiors, earning him command of the 19th Hussars by 1890 at the young age of 36.
His career faced a hiccup in 1891 when he was accused of adultery while on leave in India—a scandal that earned him the nickname "French Holiday" among troops. Despite this, he continued to ascend, commanding cavalry units during the Second Boer War in South Africa, where he earned national recognition for his role at the Battle of Elandslaagte and the subsequent capture of Kimberley, a strategic diamond hub.
French’s success in South Africa established his reputation as a formidable leader. Returning to Britain, he was promoted multiple times and, by 1912, became the Chief of the Imperial General Staff, the professional head of the British Army. His position positioned him as the designated commander of the British Expeditionary Force (BEF) in the event of war—a responsibility he was preparing for as tensions in Europe escalated.
When World War I erupted in August 1914, French was at the forefront. Leading the BEF, he played a significant role in the initial battles in Belgium, including the Battle of Mons. Though these early engagements laid the groundwork for Allied victories, they also marked the beginning of widespread criticism against him.
Criticism and Challenges During the Great War
Public opinion turned against French as the war dragged on. He was blamed for high British casualties, even though the scale of losses was comparatively modest next to German and French figures. His reluctance to fully support French military strategies and his preference for withdrawing troops for reorganization, especially during intense battles like Ypres, drew further ire from political leaders, notably Lord Kitchener.
His strategic decisions during early battles, including the costly attempt at a breakthrough at Loos, did not yield the desired results. Following these setbacks, in December 1915, French was replaced by Sir Douglas Haig and returned to Britain. Officially, his departure was attributed to his alleged lack of vigor and resolve, although some historians argue it was more about disagreements over military strategy.
Later Years and Legacy
Back in Britain, French served as commander of the home forces and later as Governor of Ireland. His post-war memoirs, published in 1919, were heavily criticized for inaccuracies and embellishments, tarnishing his reputation further.
John French died from cancer on May 22, 1925, leaving behind a complex legacy. Despite an illustrious military career marked by colonial conquests and battlefield successes, he exemplified a military leadership unprepared for the radical transformation of warfare ushered in by World War I. His experiences highlight the disconnect between 19th-century imperial combat and the brutal realities of 20th-century total war.
French’s life underscores a poignant truth: a soldier shaped by colonial battles and traditional warfare could find himself ill-equipped to face the technological and tactical upheavals of modern combat. His career reflects the clash between imperial glory and the destructive might of mechanized war, making him a symbol of a bygone era and a cautionary tale about leadership in times of revolutionary change.
John French’s story is not just about a military man; it encapsulates the transition from empire-based conflicts to the devastating total war of the 20th century. His experiences serve as both a testament to dedication and a reminder of the perils of military complacency in the face of inevitable change.
One of the most difficult emotions to express to other people for us is surely going to be our vulnerability as we feel very scared to be showcasing out true self to others and exposing our raw side.
It can obviously be very hard to find relevant people who will be actually trustworthy with whom we can be totally vulnerable with but once we find those people it can actually turn out to be a very big strength for us.
The End of Gallipoli: A Turning Point in World War I
In the weeks leading up to this moment, the Allied campaign at Gallipoli has been nothing short of a tragic stalemate. Since April, the Allies—primarily British, Australian, New Zealand, and French troops—have been relentlessly attacking fortified Turkish positions atop the Gallipoli Peninsula. However, their efforts have consistently failed, marred by exhaustion, disease, and stubborn Turkish resistance.
The Gallipoli campaign, initially conceived as a bold attempt to open a new front and knock the Ottoman Empire out of the war, proved to be a quagmire. Months of fighting had decimated the Allied forces, and progress was painfully slow. The troops faced not only enemy fire but also harsh conditions: disease, lack of supplies, and the difficulty of seizing elevated terrain. The Turks, well-entrenched and resilient, held their positions tenaciously, making any significant breakthrough impossible.
This week marks a pivotal moment—the beginning of the evacuation from Gallipoli. Under the cover of darkness and meticulous planning, the Allies began to pull their troops out, orchestrating a strategic retreat that aimed to minimize Turkish casualties and avoid a disastrous defeat.
Meanwhile, the war on other fronts continued to evolve. On the Eastern Front, both Russian and German forces, suffering from the brutal winter, halted major operations. The land had become frosty and treacherous, making rapid movements difficult, though artillery exchanges, snipers, and aerial combat persisted fiercely. Unlike the Western Front, where trenches were more organized and the terrain higher and drier, the Eastern Front was often riddled with holes and mud, making control and composition more challenging.
The Germans, more accustomed to winter warfare, benefited from a higher proportion of trained scientists and mechanical specialists, and had brought along winter provisions—warm clothing, heated dugouts, and specialized units such as snow cavalry with skis. The Russian troops, despite their resilience, faced severe hardships, with the conflict turning into a form of guerrilla warfare over small patches of territory.
Shifts in Leadership and Strategic Planning
In the Western Front, notable leadership changes reflect the ongoing frustration. British Commander John French resigned on December 15 after months of failed offensives, replaced by General Douglas Haig. This transition signaled a shift towards more aggressive tactics, even as the Allies continued to face setbacks.
On the battlefield, German forces launched a gas attack using phosgene at Ypres, but British troops, trained to counter such tactics with gas masks, held the line. French forces achieved a tactical victory by capturing Hartmannsweilerkopf in Alsace after eight months of brutal fighting, although the Germans quickly retook parts of the lost territory.
The Germans' strategic outlook for 1916 involved resuming unrestricted submarine warfare and targeting the French defenses at Verdun. Chief of Staff Erich von Falkenhayn aimed to break French morale through attrition—a brutal approach later condemned by historians like Alistair Horne, who noted the war's inhumanity where human lives became mere statistics in a relentless pursuit of exhaustion.
The Gallipoli Evacuation: A Masterclass in Deception
One of the most remarkable aspects of this week's military maneuvering is the careful planning of the evacuation from Gallipoli, spearheaded by Brigadier General Brundell White. Recognizing the danger of Turkish detection and potential annihilation, White devised an intricate plan: secretly withdrawing troops under the pretext of routine activity and assembling fully armed units for a stealthy exit.
The plan employed 'silent hours,' periods when movement and noise would be kept to a minimum, allowing the Allies to evacuate thousands of men without significant Turkish interference. Over a span of 12 days, from December 8 to 20, approximately 83,000 soldiers, nearly 4,700 horses, and numerous vehicles and artillery pieces were quietly moved away from Suvla Bay and Anzac Cove.
Despite the meticulous effort, Turkish forces perceived the evacuation as a major victory, claiming it as a triumph. In reality, the loss was minimal—only three British soldiers were wounded—a testament to the precision of Allied planning. Their withdrawal was so effective that it went unnoticed during the night, avoiding a potentially catastrophic Turkish counterattack.
Reflecting on the Human Cost and the War’s Grim Reality
As soldiers began heading home for Christmas, the harsh reality of the war persisted. British troops, under the new command of General Haig, yearned for peace and a return to normalcy, singing songs of longing for home. Yet, death and destruction continued unabated. Many would not survive the year, and no Christmas truce was in the cards—a reflection of a conflict where sentimentality was drowned out by relentless violence.
The Bigger Picture: Plans for 1916 and Future Warfare
Looking ahead, German military leaders set ambitious and ruthless strategic plans. Falkenhayn’s aim was to dismantle French morale through a bloody attrition campaign at Verdun, while secretly supporting the Bolsheviks by funding propaganda efforts in Russia. The broader German strategy included resuming unrestricted submarine warfare—a dangerous gambit intended to starve Britain of supplies and bring the Allied war effort to its knees.
In the background, the Allied command grappled with operational delays. Lloyd George, speaking in the British House of Commons, lamented how delays in decision-making and execution—episodes of being 'too late'—had prolonged suffering and sapped morale. The recurring theme was clear: the Allies needed to accelerate their efforts or risk losing the war altogether.
Conclusion: A War of Attrition and Strategic Withdrawal
The week’s events epitomize the brutal, often strategic, chaos of World War I. The evacuation from Gallipoli marks not just a tactical retreat but a symbol of the shift towards more calculated and, at times, deceptive military maneuvers. While leadership changes and strategic plans hint at a future of intensified combat, the human toll remains profound—soldiers facing an unending cycle of violence, longing for peace, and the grim inevitability of loss.
As the trenches deepen and the toll rises, the war's true horror becomes ever more apparent. Yet amidst the chaos, stories of clever planning and resilience serve as a testament to the ingenuity and resolve of those caught in the colossal machinery of the First World War.

The Final Voyage of the Emden: A Tale of Courage and Persistence in World War I
Indy Neidell takes us on a riveting recounting of the remarkable story of the SMS Emden, a German light cruiser whose daring exploits during the early months of World War I exemplify ingenuity, resilience, and relentless determination amidst chaos and danger.
Commissioned in 1906 as part of Germany’s Dresden class of light cruisers, the SMS Emden was a formidable vessel for its size and era. With a crew of 361 personnel—18 officers and 343 men—it could reach speeds up to 23.5 knots, armed with ten quick-loading 40-caliber cannons, each capable of firing shells over 12 kilometers. Additionally, she was equipped to lay mines and launch torpedoes, making her a versatile tool for naval warfare.
When the war ignited in August 1914, the Emden was stationed at Tsingtao, a German-held territory in China. Her commanding officer, Karl von Müller, recognized the strategic importance of her location and proposed a bold plan: instead of joining the main East Asia Squadron under Admiral Maximilian von Spee headed for South America and back to Germany, the Emden would remain behind to disrupt Allied shipping routes.
Von Müller’s decision set the stage for an audacious campaign of commerce raiding. Acting independently, the Emden unleashed a series of attacks against Allied commercial vessels, seeking to damage Britain’s supply lines and weaken its naval dominance in the region. Starting in September 1914, she captured numerous ships, including five vessels in quick succession and sank four more in one week.
One of her most dramatic early actions was her raid on Madras harbor in India, where she shelled the oil tanks of Burma Oil Company, igniting fires and causing significant damage. She then slipped away, leaving chaos in her wake, and managed to reduce shipping between India and the Suez Canal by approximately 60 percent—a blow to British logistical operations.
In late October 1914, the Emden’s boldness peaked at Penang, a British colony on the coast of Malaysia. Disguised as a British cruiser using a false smokestack, she entered the harbor undetected. Her target was the Russian cruiser Zhemchug, then undergoing repairs. The Emden opened fire, and a fierce explosion followed, sinking the Russian ship and killing 89 crew members, with 143 wounded.
Besides sinking Zhemchug, the Emden also destroyed the French destroyer Mousquet, resulting in further loss of life. Her relentless attacks had accumulated a tally of 25 civilian vessels sunk or captured, cementing her reputation as a formidable commerce raider.
However, such a streak couldn’t last forever. Von Müller aimed the Emden toward Direction Island, located between Australia and Sri Lanka, seeking refuge and repair. He dispatched a shore party to disable communications, but their efforts were detected. The Australian cruiser HMAS Sydney was nearby, and the battle was soon set.
On November 28, 1914, the eventual confrontation occurred. Despite the Emden’s aggressive opening salvo, her damage was significant; she was hit nearly 100 times, with only one gun still operational, one funnel torn off, and a fire raging in her engine room. Her crew suffered heavy casualties—nearly half were killed. Facing imminent destruction, Von Müller ordered the wreck to be run aground on North Keeling Island, where the Sydney shelled and destroyed the remnants of the Emden.
Survivors and a Remarkable Escape
Not all crew members perished; the aftermath saw survivors taken prisoner or attempting to escape. Von Müller and other officers were sent to Malta, while the rest of the crew found themselves in prisoner-of-war camps across Australia and Singapore.
Yet, the story does not end there. What makes the Emden’s tale extraordinary is the incredible endurance and resourcefulness of her crew following their ship’s destruction. First Officer Helmuth von Mücke and his men abandoned the wreck and managed to man an old, dilapidated schooner called Ayesha. Despite her fragility, they set sail across the Indian Ocean, navigating by catch rainwater and shifting winds.
A Journey of Courage: From the Indians to the Ottoman Empire
After a perilous voyage, the crew reached the neutral Dutch colony of Padang in Indonesia in late December 1914, where they stayed briefly before leaving under cover of darkness. They evaded British ships, weathered storms, and eventually linked up with German and Austrian vessels. Their resilience was evident in their journey—covering over 1,700 nautical miles aboard the Ayesha.
Their voyage took them to the German steamer Choising, and from there, they pursued further refuge by heading toward the Ottoman Empire, which had recently entered the war as an ally of Germany. The crew crossed into Yemen and faced hostility from local tribes and armed nomads but received crucial support from Arab allies, whom they secured by proclaiming their German nationality and appealing to local sentiments.
Final Legs and Arrival in Constantinople
The Germans endured fever, dysentery, and exhaustion as they marched through the desert to Hodeida and then to Jeddah. From there, they took the Hejaz Railway to Damascus, then to Aleppo, and finally reached Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul) in May 1915.
Their odyssey was a testament to remarkable survival, ingenuity, and steadfastness amid adversity. Von Mücke reported their successful landings to the German naval command, emphasizing the extraordinary journey undertaken by a small group of sailors pushed to the limits of human endurance.
Reflections and the War’s Human Toll
While history often celebrates the daring exploits of ships like the Emden, Neidell reminds us of the grim realities of war. He emphasizes that behind the stories of heroism are the countless lives lost—sailors, civilians, and soldiers—highlighting the brutal truth that war is "hell." During the Christmas season, he calls for a moment of reflection and remembrance for the soldiers fighting worldwide, who may never return to their families.
The story of the Emden epitomizes the spirit of resistance and determination during wartime, with her brave sailors surviving against the odds after their vessel was destroyed. The narrative underscores the importance of individual resilience, tactical ingenuity, and the human capacity to endure immense hardship—a story as inspiring as it is sobering.
For those interested in the broader context of the German East Asia Squadron and the fates of figures like Admiral Maximilian von Spee, Neidell encourages viewers to explore dedicated biography episodes for deeper insights.
This saga of the Emden and her crew is more than just a chapter in naval history; it’s a testament to courage amidst chaos. It reminds us that sometimes, even in the darkest moments of war, heroism and resilience shine brightest.

The Fascinating World of German Pistols in World War I: A Deep Dive
Introduction: Collaborating with C&Rsenal on a Historic Journey
Indy Neidell and Flo take viewers on an intriguing journey into the history of German handguns used during World War I. This special feature, produced in collaboration with Othais of C&Rsenal — one of the most renowned YouTube channels for firearm history — explores the evolution, mechanics, and significance of these iconic weapons through detailed analysis and demonstrations.
The journey begins with the Reichsrevolver, a robust, early breech-loading revolver from 1879. Indy showcases the 79 model and the more compact 83 model, both mechanically similar. These firearms reflect a time when revolvers were predominantly single-action, requiring manually cocking the hammer before each shot.
This pistol's design emphasizes reliability and durability — qualities German engineers prized. Its construction is hefty, resembling a “brick,” underscoring its solid craftsmanship. Chambered mainly in a variant of the .44 S&W Russian cartridge—considered a powerful and reliable round at the time—the Reichsrevolver was a military mainstay, especially valued for its toughness on the battlefield.
Moving forward in history, Indy introduces the legendary Luger P08, an icon recognized worldwide for its distinctive toggle-lock mechanism and sleek design. Revered in popular culture — many Bond villains carried Lugers — the weapon symbolizes innovation in firearm engineering.
The Luger operates via a short recoil system, where the slide and barrel move backward together upon firing. This movement causes the toggle joint to unlock, eject the spent cartridge, and chamber a new round. Indie highlights a key feature: the disassemblable magazine, which, although seemingly detachable, actually requires a fixed magazine loaded with stripper clips, demanding careful operation during reloading.
The Luger's high-quality manufacturing and tight sealing made it highly reliable, even in muddy or harsh conditions. Its design allowed for a high-capacity 10-round magazine—a significant upgrade over previous pistols, giving soldiers greater firepower with a single, manageable weapon.
Design Considerations: Recoil Management and Ergonomics
Indy discusses the weapon's handling: due to the barrel's high position relative to the shooter's hand (the muzzle climb), controlling recoil was essential. The Luger’s stock design, including adjustable sights and ergonomic features, allowed soldiers to improve accuracy and manage the considerable upward force when firing.
He demonstrates how the weapon could be used shoulder-fired like a carbine, transforming it into a versatile firearm suitable for different combat scenarios. The integration of a stock and the ability to use it akin to a small rifle made the Luger adaptable for close quarters and ranged engagement alike.
The Iconic C96: The "Broomhandle" Submachine Gun
Next, Indy introduces the C96, perhaps the most recognizable pistol of the era, often dubbed the "Broomhandle" due to its distinctive grip shape. This semi-automatic pistol boasts a fixed magazine within the frame, high capacity (typically 10 rounds), and a robust construction inspired by earlier machine gun mechanisms.
He highlights its unique operating method, which employs a bolt handle — a design derived from machine guns like the Maxim. The bolt, connected to a tilting barrel, integrates a short recoil system similar to the Luger but features a rotating locking bolt.
The Mechanical Marvel: The Cycling Process
Indy closely examines how the bolt mechanism operates. When fired, the bolt is pushed backward by recoil, rotating and unlocking with a hinge-like motion reminiscent of a human knee. A spring then pushes the bolt forward again, stripping a new cartridge from the fixed magazine and chambering it for the next shot.
He demonstrates the rapid cycling capabilities of the C96, emphasizing its high rate of fire, often comparable to machine guns. The design allows for efficient automatic fire if equipped with a drum magazine, which could hold up to 32 rounds—a crucial feature for trench combat.
The cylinder-like drum magazines earned the "Snail" nickname and provided soldiers with a significant ammunition advantage in close combat, such as clearing trenches or engaged in rapid assaults.
Reliability and Practicality in Wartime
A recurring theme in the discussion is the reliability of these early 20th-century firearms. Despite their complexity, the German pistols were known for their durability. They functioned well even in muddy, dirty environments, thanks to tight seals and robust construction.
Indy notes that soldiers carried these weapons in well-made leather holsters, often attached to their belts for quick access. The weapons' modular design and sturdy operation meant malfunctions were relatively rare, an essential trait during the chaos of war.
Real-World Usage and Impact
Throughout the presentation, Indy emphasizes why these weapons were critical: they provided German soldiers with reliable, high-capacity, and versatile firearms that could be used in various combat scenarios. The progression from revolvers like the Reichsrevolver to semi-automatic pistols like the Luger, and finally to the high-capacity C96, reflects the ongoing arms race of innovation driven by wartime necessity.
In particular, the Luger and C96 influenced firearm design profoundly, inspiring future weapons and becoming cultural icons. Their deployment changed infantry tactics, enabling soldiers to carry more firepower without significantly increasing weapon size or weight.
Conclusion: A Legacy of Innovation
Indy wraps up by highlighting the enduring legacy of these early German pistols. The engineering ingenuity and adaptability showcased by these weapons set standards that would influence firearm design for decades.
He encourages viewers to explore more about specific models, particularly the C96, by visiting Othais’ C&Rsenal channel for detailed reviews and historical insights. There are many lessons that are not taught by schools. We need to learn it by our own based on our experience. School lessons are just a small part of the entire life lesson.

The Enigmatic Life of Mata Hari: The Iconic Dancer and Alleged Spy of World War I
Introduction: A Woman of Mystery and Allure
Margaretha Geertruida Zelle, better known by her stage name Mata Hari, remains one of the most captivating and controversial figures of the early 20th century. Celebrated for her exotic dance and sensational performances, she became a worldwide icon during the tumultuous years of World War I. Her life story is intertwined with glamour, tragedy, espionage, and a dramatic execution—elements that have cemented her place in history as both femme fatale and alleged spy.
Born in 1876 into a wealthy Dutch family in Leeuwarden, Margaretha's childhood was marked by tragedy and upheaval. Her father was a hat merchant and a financial speculator who eventually went bankrupt. At the age of 15, she lost her mother, and her father, overwhelmed by financial troubles, took her younger brother with him to start afresh, leaving Margaretha with her godparents. Sent to a girls' boarding school, it was initially expected she would become a teacher. However, her rebellious streak surfaced at 17 when she was accused of having an affair with an older school director, leading to her expulsion.
After her expulsion, Margaretha moved in with her uncle in The Hague. Two years later, she responded to an advertisement by Rudolf John MacLeod, a military captain stationed in the Dutch East Indies (present-day Indonesia). She sent her photo and was swiftly taken with the 21-year-old officer. They married in 1895 amidst significant age disparity, and soon after, relocated to Indonesia. Their marriage, initially promising, was marred by MacLeod’s alcoholism and infidelity. To escape her unhappy marriage, Margaretha joined a local dance troupe and adopted her stage name Mata Hari—"Eye of the Day" in Malay.
Personal Tragedies and Transformation into Mata Hari
The couple’s life was riddled with tragedy when their children fell ill and died suddenly—one of them at just three years old. Speculation suggests poisoning by a servant, while others point to complications from inherited syphilis. Disillusioned, Margaretha and her husband returned to Europe, where MacLeod took her daughter with him, leaving Margaretha alone and penniless in Paris.
In Paris, she eked out a living as a circus rider and then as a model before embracing her new identity as a dancer. In 1905, she met the artist Emil Guimet, who invited her to perform at his museum. She began her career as Mata Hari, mesmerizing audiences with her exotic performances inspired by her Indonesian experiences. Her dance—characterized by revealing costumes, billowing veils, and a mystic persona—became an instant sensation, capturing the imagination of Parisian society.
Mata Hari’s performances often featured her dressed as a sacred temple dancer, claiming origins from Jaffna, Sri Lanka, where she was supposedly a Brahmin and temple dancer who was initiated into the divine mysteries of love and worship. Her act involved bold, provocative movements, with her bare back exposed and her breasts modestly concealed by jewelry. Her ability to transform striptease into an art form made her an icon of the cosmopolitan and daring belle époque.
As her popularity waned with new generations of dancers, Mata Hari resorted to flirting with powerful men, including government and military officials, to sustain her flamboyant lifestyle.
The Apex and Downfall: World War I and Espionage Allegations
By 1915, her stage career was waning, but her life took a sudden turn during World War I. Because the Netherlands remained neutral, Mata Hari could cross borders freely, and her activities caught the attention of British and French intelligence agencies.
In 1916, she fell in love with a young Russian captain wounded in battle. When he was injured, she was approached by Captain Georges Ladoux, who suggested she could assist France’s espionage efforts. Although her actual involvement remains shrouded in mystery, she was purportedly tasked with gathering intelligence and using her charm to access enemy secrets.
Reports from 1917 indicated that German agents believed Mata Hari was passing secret information, though her part in espionage is still debated among historians. She claimed to have been working for France, yet conflicting reports suggest she may have been a double agent or simply a courtesan exploited for her contacts.
Trial, Conviction, and Execution
In February 1917, Mata Hari was arrested in Paris amid suspicions of spying for Germany. Her trial, held in secrecy, lasted less than 45 minutes. Key evidence was circumstantial; witnesses and her own confessions pointed to her receiving money for sexual services, which the prosecution argued amounted to passing enemy secrets. She was swiftly convicted of espionage.
On October 15, 1917, at the age of 41, Mata Hari was executed by firing squad. According to accounts, she removed her blindfold and blew a kiss to the soldiers before her death, cementing her status as a tragic and enigmatic web of intrigue.
Legacy: Myth, Reality, and Cultural Impact
Declassified German documents released in the 1970s suggest that there is credible evidence of her espionage activities, but many doubt the extent or even the reality of her spying role. Her story remains one of ambiguity—was she a genuine spy, a scapegoat, or simply a victim of wartime paranoia?
Her life has inspired countless films, books, and plays. The 1931 Hollywood film featuring Greta Garbo as Mata Hari immortalized her as a femme fatale and symbol of seduction and danger.
Mata Hari’s story epitomizes the allure and tragedy of a woman who seemed to live two lives: the exotic dancer captivating Parisian elites and the accused spy caught in the chaos of war. Her fate—death by firing squad—has cemented her place as one of history’s most legendary figures, a woman whose identity continues to evoke fascination and intrigue a century after her demise.

Between POL and LeoStrategy, I think around 5M $LEO might be permanently staked on sLEO, earning USDC and auto compounding for more LEO that is perma staked every day
Imagine $1,000 per day is being earned (would be light in comparison to what is being earned by other UIs)
If 15M total LEO is staked as sLEO, 33% or $333 per day would be earned by POL & LeoStrategy
$333 at current prices = about 5,200 LEO per day that will get bought off the market or about 2M LEO per year that will be removed from the market and can never be sold
We are not bullish enough.
The sooner we sell out LSTR, the better. The more LEO that can be acquired by the fund, the more buy pressure LEO will permanently have from LeoDex USDC rewards

I am loving it that the Inleo platform is taking good care of those who supports the platform by being premium user. This is how everyone win together.
You are right, a lot of people thought that the 10 HBD is way too much for them to part with without thinking about the benefits they would enjoy. Inleo is making Hive platform a great place to be.
Basically, AI can generate code that looks right but has small errors. Fixing these takes time and effort, creating a hidden cost in productivity since devs spend more time debugging than coding from scratch

With some proper direction now and a publicly-facing board, we will collectively make LeoStrategy a financial second-layer on top of the LEO Token Economy
One of the first revenue-generating services will be up-and-running by next week, adding to the list of ways that @leostrategy captures tokens and swaps them for more permanently-held LEO that backs the LSTR fund value

Post Rewards
Curation Rewards
sLEO USDC Rewards (starting Sept 23rd)
NewService (TBA, will be live by next week)
Idea I have for collateralized lending ran on LeoDex, operated by LeoStrategy
... and many more in the future!
All of these methods and more will create revenue, buy LEO and accrete value for every LSTR holder
I am very excited about what this team is capable of (and it's also nice to have another team working hard without needing me day-to-day)
Had to be done. Can't have a LEO based investment fund not in LSTR. Will add more but don't want to do it to fast as I've got to trade $LEO to do it and don't want to hurt LEO's momentum.
We're trying to tag people on the richlist to get more LEO sold on the market. The SIRP is having trouble finding asks to bid on
Feel free to set some asks too 🫡 the momentum isn't going to stop. My main worry is that the SIRP + POL + LeoStrategy are all trying to bid into thin liquidity and it's better to slowly rise than have a moon scenario where sellers then jump in and get overpaid
If you know of any old LEO stakeholders who have forgotten about the project / might want to take some profits, tagging them now is a good idea
Time to rotate to new hands and give this place a fresh start. Many of the old hands are exhausted hodlers. Our goal is to have the real ones aboard for what comes next

I am loving the Inleo community more and more. See what Thomas Moore just did, sent me 2.5 HBD to complete my funds for premium renewal. Though this is a loan, I am more than grateful for this. Thanks man.
Get some LSTR exposure before the entire initial sale is gone or you will be buying it 35% higher (and this 35% is growing)
LSTR's initial sale is a huge opportunity to get into it before it goes to the open market. The fund's LEO value continues to rise. At $0.12, the fund's value will be trading at a 70%+ discount

See you guys in about 43 minutes!
30 minutes guys and gals!
Biggest issue for me is I dont even know where to start when living in sweden.
You guys mentioned Bitrefill think but they had only giftcards if I remeber
Sweden is a very difficult case. As it turns out, Bitrefill is headquartered in Stockholm, yet its own employees don't use it much because Sweden is tough!
Hope we start to see change in sweden.
Yes, probably has a lot to do with crypto and banking laws.
Five more minutes!
Almost ready to go, you guys ready?
Where in the world do you guys see the most built out structures that enable a person to fully live on crypto?
The US probably has the most tools directly. Western Europe, though privacy is harder to come by there. Guatemala and El Salvador are good in Latin America.
How can people manage the risks of crypto price volatility when using it for daily expenses like groceries or bills?
A few ways. First is to use stablecoins for whatever value has to remain consistent. Second is to immediately pay all major bills and expenses so that future volatility doesn't matter.
Glad I made it... I missed all LEO related streams in the past week or so.~
Thanks for listening!

Is it Solana-only?
Whereabouts do you live?
The more I listen, the more I realize the value of LeoMerchants. Someone has to work as the mediator between the assets customers have and what businesses want to accept.
This is where LeoDEX can earn the fees.
Yes, Moca too, there's a few different things that do the same basic thing. But we're really pumped for Leo Merchants.
Well, I have to go now... If this is still on when I come back, I may still listen, but in case I didn't reply again, Have an Nice Day Everyone!!
Cheers!
Oh, I missed the show. Got other offline activities.
It's okay, you still get upvotes.
Thanks for that.
Greetings and happy new month. 😊
Inasmuch as I don't want to have anything to do with banks and would love to live entirely on crypto, most businesses in my country are clueless about crypto payments.
I know it will take time to educate them and probably years before the country fully embraces and implements crypto payments.
People need to be aware of how easy and convenient it is to pay with crypto.
Which country again? We can look into some solutions.
oh, it's Nigeria.

Part 1/13:
The Great War Weekly Summary: A Year of Struggles and Shattered Morale
The latest edition of the Great War weekly update offers a sobering overview of the brutal realities faced by the Allied and Central Powers as 1915 nears its end. From the brutal trenches of Italy to the tumultuous campaign in Macedonia and the declining fortunes at Gallipoli, the war's toll is painfully evident.
Central Powers on the Offensive
Part 2/13:
For most of the period, the Central Powers maintained the upper hand, occupying vast territories in the east, defeating Serbia, and achieving significant victories at Gallipoli. They managed to hold their positions in Italy and the Western Front while planning further advances. Notably, the upcoming week promises more success, with Bulharis poised to push British and French troops out of Macedonia. These successive victories highlight the resilience and strategic positioning of the Central Powers during this phase of the war.
The Troubles on the Italian Front
Part 3/13:
Despite initial efforts, the Italian front had become a nightmare for the Italian Army by late 1915. After four decisive battles at Sochi, Italy's forces were on the brink of collapse. The soldiers suffered heavy casualties—around 400,000 since May—and morale was plummeting. Their dire conditions were compounded by a lack of essential equipment, such as proper weapons, clothing, and food. Soldiers faced deadly machine gun fire unprotected by adequate trenches, many of which were shallow and filthy, often filled with mud and waste.
Part 4/13:
Uniforms had become thin as paper, with worn wool clothing and fragile shoes with cardboard tops and wooden soles that caused foot injuries. Hygienic conditions were deplorable, with inadequate water containers, leaking tents, and ineffective barbed wire cutters rendered useless under enemy fire. Food was scarce and of such poor quality that many soldiers refused to eat it, leading to hunger amidst the trenches.
Harsh Conditions and Discipline Breakdown
Part 5/13:
The soldiers endured extreme hardships, including exposure to sub-zero temperatures and inadequate shelter. They cooked their meals with makeshift stoves that tasted of gasoline, and their nights were spent huddled together in holes to keep warm. Strict discipline under General Luigi Cadorna prohibited leisure activities like visiting cafes or socializing with civilians, and soldiers faced arrest even for simple gestures like holding hands with their fiancées.
Part 6/13:
Brutality and Military Justice
Part 7/13:
The mutinity’s aftermath saw swift, harsh punishments. A platoon returning to the front faced summary executions—eight men were sentenced to death following a military court. The entire unit was forced to witness these executions before being sent back into combat, exemplifying the catastrophic breakdown in discipline and the desperate state of the Italian military effort.
Gallipoli’s Evacuation
Part 8/13:
The Gallipoli campaign, a pivotal failure for the Allies, was finally nearing its end. Evacuation plans, scheduled for December 19, threatened a chaotic withdrawal from a heavily fortified beachline. With around 83,000 Allied troops, including heavy artillery and supplies, and dangerous weather conditions, the operation posed tremendous risks. Brigadier General Brundenell White devised a plan to retreat under cover of darkness, but many questions remained whether the Allies would succeed in withdrawing without catastrophic losses.
Allied Retreat in Macedonia
Part 9/13:
Part 10/13:
Bulgarian forces, now numbering around 80,000, claimed key Macedonian towns, consolidating their hold on the region. In a symbolic declaration on December 14, Bulgaria celebrated its gains, claiming to have defeated the last enemy forces in Macedonia and marking Serbia's fall in a mere 40 days, compared to just 10 for the Allies—a testament to the shifting power balance.
Other Highlights
Part 11/13:
The week’s broader military developments include Russian advances into Bulgaria, capturing the Hamadan region in Persia, and repulsing rebel forces in the Middle East. British forces under Colonel Gordon defeated 1,200 Senussi fighters in North Africa, while General Horace Smith Dorrien was appointed to lead the Eastern African campaign. His previous successes at Mons and Ypres were marred by disagreements with other Allied leaders, leading to his temporary removal from command.
The Human Cost and the War’s Endgame
Part 12/13:
Part 13/13:

Early Life and Military Beginnings
Part 2/8:
Colonial Wars and Rising Through the Ranks
Part 3/8:
Part 4/8:
From Colonial Battles to the Brink of World War I
French’s success in South Africa established his reputation as a formidable leader.
Part 5/8:
Part 6/8:
Part 7/8:
John French died from cancer on May 22, 1925, leaving behind a complex legacy. Despite an illustrious military career marked by colonial conquests and battlefield successes, he exemplified a military leadership unprepared for the radical transformation of warfare ushered in by World War I. His experiences highlight the disconnect between 19th-century imperial combat and the brutal realities of 20th-century total war.
A Veteran Unforgiving of Modern Warfare
Part 8/8:
That is not a prediction, That is a spoiler!

Part 1/11:
The End of Gallipoli: A Turning Point in World War I
In the weeks leading up to this moment, the Allied campaign at Gallipoli has been nothing short of a tragic stalemate. Since April, the Allies—primarily British, Australian, New Zealand, and French troops—have been relentlessly attacking fortified Turkish positions atop the Gallipoli Peninsula. However, their efforts have consistently failed, marred by exhaustion, disease, and stubborn Turkish resistance.
The Prolonged Struggle at Gallipoli
Part 2/11:
Part 3/11:
The Broader Context of the War in December 1915
Meanwhile, the war on other fronts continued to evolve. On the Eastern Front, both Russian and German forces, suffering from the brutal winter, halted major operations. The land had become frosty and treacherous, making rapid movements difficult, though artillery exchanges, snipers, and aerial combat persisted fiercely. Unlike the Western Front, where trenches were more organized and the terrain higher and drier, the Eastern Front was often riddled with holes and mud, making control and composition more challenging.
Part 4/11:
Part 5/11:
Part 6/11:
The Gallipoli Evacuation: A Masterclass in Deception
One of the most remarkable aspects of this week's military maneuvering is the careful planning of the evacuation from Gallipoli, spearheaded by Brigadier General Brundell White. Recognizing the danger of Turkish detection and potential annihilation, White devised an intricate plan: secretly withdrawing troops under the pretext of routine activity and assembling fully armed units for a stealthy exit.
Part 7/11:
Part 8/11:
Reflecting on the Human Cost and the War’s Grim Reality
As soldiers began heading home for Christmas, the harsh reality of the war persisted. British troops, under the new command of General Haig, yearned for peace and a return to normalcy, singing songs of longing for home. Yet, death and destruction continued unabated. Many would not survive the year, and no Christmas truce was in the cards—a reflection of a conflict where sentimentality was drowned out by relentless violence.
The Bigger Picture: Plans for 1916 and Future Warfare
Part 9/11:
Looking ahead, German military leaders set ambitious and ruthless strategic plans. Falkenhayn’s aim was to dismantle French morale through a bloody attrition campaign at Verdun, while secretly supporting the Bolsheviks by funding propaganda efforts in Russia. The broader German strategy included resuming unrestricted submarine warfare—a dangerous gambit intended to starve Britain of supplies and bring the Allied war effort to its knees.
Part 10/11:
In the background, the Allied command grappled with operational delays. Lloyd George, speaking in the British House of Commons, lamented how delays in decision-making and execution—episodes of being 'too late'—had prolonged suffering and sapped morale. The recurring theme was clear: the Allies needed to accelerate their efforts or risk losing the war altogether.
Conclusion: A War of Attrition and Strategic Withdrawal
Part 11/11:

An Introduction to the Emden
Part 2/13:
Commissioned in 1906 as part of Germany’s Dresden class of light cruisers, the SMS Emden was a formidable vessel for its size and era. With a crew of 361 personnel—18 officers and 343 men—it could reach speeds up to 23.5 knots, armed with ten quick-loading 40-caliber cannons, each capable of firing shells over 12 kilometers. Additionally, she was equipped to lay mines and launch torpedoes, making her a versatile tool for naval warfare.
Part 3/13:
When the war ignited in August 1914, the Emden was stationed at Tsingtao, a German-held territory in China. Her commanding officer, Karl von Müller, recognized the strategic importance of her location and proposed a bold plan: instead of joining the main East Asia Squadron under Admiral Maximilian von Spee headed for South America and back to Germany, the Emden would remain behind to disrupt Allied shipping routes.
The Emden’s Raids and Disruptions
Part 4/13:
The Battle at Penang
Part 5/13:
The Final Battle and the Loss of the Emden
Part 6/13:
However, such a streak couldn’t last forever. Von Müller aimed the Emden toward Direction Island, located between Australia and Sri Lanka, seeking refuge and repair. He dispatched a shore party to disable communications, but their efforts were detected. The Australian cruiser HMAS Sydney was nearby, and the battle was soon set.
Part 7/13:
Part 8/13:
Yet, the story does not end there. What makes the Emden’s tale extraordinary is the incredible endurance and resourcefulness of her crew following their ship’s destruction. First Officer Helmuth von Mücke and his men abandoned the wreck and managed to man an old, dilapidated schooner called Ayesha. Despite her fragility, they set sail across the Indian Ocean, navigating by catch rainwater and shifting winds.
A Journey of Courage: From the Indians to the Ottoman Empire
Part 9/13:
After a perilous voyage, the crew reached the neutral Dutch colony of Padang in Indonesia in late December 1914, where they stayed briefly before leaving under cover of darkness. They evaded British ships, weathered storms, and eventually linked up with German and Austrian vessels. Their resilience was evident in their journey—covering over 1,700 nautical miles aboard the Ayesha.
Part 10/13:
Part 11/13:
Part 12/13:
Legacy of the Emden
The story of the Emden epitomizes the spirit of resistance and determination during wartime, with her brave sailors surviving against the odds after their vessel was destroyed. The narrative underscores the importance of individual resilience, tactical ingenuity, and the human capacity to endure immense hardship—a story as inspiring as it is sobering.
For those interested in the broader context of the German East Asia Squadron and the fates of figures like Admiral Maximilian von Spee, Neidell encourages viewers to explore dedicated biography episodes for deeper insights.
A Final Note
Part 13/13:

The Reichsrevolver: Germany’s Early Pistol
Part 2/10:
Transition to Semi-Automatic: The Luger P08
Part 3/10:
Part 4/10:
Part 5/10:
Part 6/10:
Part 7/10:
Part 8/10:
Part 9/10:
In particular, the Luger and C96 influenced firearm design profoundly, inspiring future weapons and becoming cultural icons. Their deployment changed infantry tactics, enabling soldiers to carry more firepower without significantly increasing weapon size or weight.
Conclusion: A Legacy of Innovation
Indy wraps up by highlighting the enduring legacy of these early German pistols. The engineering ingenuity and adaptability showcased by these weapons set standards that would influence firearm design for decades.
Part 10/10:
He encourages viewers to explore more about specific models, particularly the C96, by visiting Othais’ C&Rsenal channel for detailed reviews and historical insights. As he signs off, Indy reminds us of the intertwined history of technology, warfare, and culture, all embodied in these remarkable firearms of the First World War.

Part 1/10:
Early Life and Torn Roots
Part 2/10:
Journey to Indonesia and the First Marriage
Part 3/10:
Part 4/10:
The couple’s life was riddled with tragedy when their children fell ill and died suddenly—one of them at just three years old. Speculation suggests poisoning by a servant, while others point to complications from inherited syphilis. Disillusioned, Margaretha and her husband returned to Europe, where MacLeod took her daughter with him, leaving Margaretha alone and penniless in Paris.
Part 5/10:
In Paris, she eked out a living as a circus rider and then as a model before embracing her new identity as a dancer. In 1905, she met the artist Emil Guimet, who invited her to perform at his museum. She began her career as Mata Hari, mesmerizing audiences with her exotic performances inspired by her Indonesian experiences. Her dance—characterized by revealing costumes, billowing veils, and a mystic persona—became an instant sensation, capturing the imagination of Parisian society.
The Exotic Dancer and the Myth of Mystique
Part 6/10:
Part 7/10:
By 1915, her stage career was waning, but her life took a sudden turn during World War I. Because the Netherlands remained neutral, Mata Hari could cross borders freely, and her activities caught the attention of British and French intelligence agencies.
In 1916, she fell in love with a young Russian captain wounded in battle. When he was injured, she was approached by Captain Georges Ladoux, who suggested she could assist France’s espionage efforts. Although her actual involvement remains shrouded in mystery, she was purportedly tasked with gathering intelligence and using her charm to access enemy secrets.
Part 8/10:
Part 9/10:
Part 10/10:
Conclusion: The Woman Who Lived Twice
Mata Hari’s story epitomizes the allure and tragedy of a woman who seemed to live two lives: the exotic dancer captivating Parisian elites and the accused spy caught in the chaos of war. Her fate—death by firing squad—has cemented her place as one of history’s most legendary figures, a woman whose identity continues to evoke fascination and intrigue a century after her demise.

But at what point do we take profits????
Maybe never. Just random thoughts.
I’ll be taking 100% of my usdc as profit I do believe.
the team grows. Congrats

The only true way to actually profit in crypto is to invest the money you would never need in the short term. There's 99% probability that 99% of people would sell their coins if it does 10x within a short time without minding whether it will go up further than that.
Tag them from the rich list! We need that $LEO back on the market

i have seen some new names selling recently. Maybe the leo success is spreading like a fire in the forest. Still people are unable to take the right decision.
This is the lion mindset

@leo.voter thank you for this surprise visit, I didn't expect it.
Keep threading as $LEO is the only place where everything is good. Not a single thing to complain about especially if you are a premium member.
It's. getting to the point where I'm earning more from Threading then long form blog posts.
It's looking like so right now. These leo.voter visit on thread is a motivation to do more.
Best thing they did was turn it pro-premium!
Premium Feed the SIRP and the SIRP feed the threaders. Such a win-win game.
This does happen to me on some days.

🛞 Tires are a major source of microplastic pollution, more so than straws or grocery bags.
But maybe it's hard to get rid of them. I don't see any alternatives and people don't seem to be caring about this.
True, tires are tough to replace with no clear alternatives yet. I think awareness is low, but maybe innovations in materials or recycling could help down the line
Go premium and you will see a lot of this
:)

i think he is already a premium member 🫣
I am loving it that the Inleo platform is taking good care of those who supports the platform by being premium user. This is how everyone win together.
I have said it to so many people since joining premium membership that they are missing a lot by not participating here at INLEO.
THEY ARE ACTUALLY MISSING THE NEXT BIG THING!
You are right, a lot of people thought that the 10 HBD is way too much for them to part with without thinking about the benefits they would enjoy. Inleo is making Hive platform a great place to be.
Can't stop this perpetual motion machine.

Bitcoin dominance is one of those topics and I created a blog on that today.

The data from Stack Overflow highlights a covert productivity cost associated with AI-generated code that's nearly correct.
What does this actually mean? Can you explain it in simple words, I can't understand 🥲
Basically, AI can generate code that looks right but has small errors. Fixing these takes time and effort, creating a hidden cost in productivity since devs spend more time debugging than coding from scratch

Well that puts a damper on the day

gosh, that's not good!
ouch. Worst feeling.
dang. sorry brother! i hope the rest of the day turns out better.
One day to go on my premium subscription, have 7 HBD on ground, will need a couple of days for payout to drop and complete it for renewal. Hate to not be able to renew immediately.😞
We both are close on it. I have 2 days left but we will buy the premium again and again and again.....
Sure thing 100%✔️
Don't wait 😁
plan it ahead !BBH
Stop waiting for ALT SEASON, invest in $LEO and you will have a better financial situation than what that ALT SEASON can give you.
Believe or cry like others who are already regretting selling their $LEO.

There's a lot of disagreement among physicists regarding the implications of quantum mechanics for our understanding of reality.
But there is a side with majority already so we don't have to worry and at the end, contradictions will help us find new things.
Looks like things are going for another temporary death dive. I'm ok with it. I'm going to keep doing buys.
Just bought some $LSTR for #lbi
The discount is just too big to ignore now.
@leostrategy is awesome value right now and LBI needs to be on board one way or another.
Great work! I think this is a really smart move
The discount is approaching 35% and revenue methods are barely getting started
All of these methods and more will create revenue, buy LEO and accrete value for every LSTR holder
I am very excited about what this team is capable of (and it's also nice to have another team working hard without needing me day-to-day)
Had to be done. Can't have a LEO based investment fund not in LSTR. Will add more but don't want to do it to fast as I've got to trade $LEO to do it and don't want to hurt LEO's momentum.
Discount is just too big to ignore now.
Totally get it
We're trying to tag people on the richlist to get more LEO sold on the market.
Haven't used the market for ages, I just stick to swaps - Can't SIRP/POL/LEOstrat use the LP's also?
Yep the SIRP uses Swaps/Order book on HE while the POL uses bLEO, pLEO and LEO (Arbitrum)
All of the buys are tracked (including the off-hive buys) in real-time by one of the new LeoAI Agents @leo.alerts
https://inleo.io/threads/view/leo.alerts/alert-1753899277?referral=leo.alerts
Very good. Fed some more LEO into the pool for more LSTR.
Nice, LFG
If you know of any old LEO stakeholders who have forgotten about the project / might want to take some profits, tagging them now is a good idea
Time to rotate to new hands and give this place a fresh start. Many of the old hands are exhausted hodlers. Our goal is to have the real ones aboard for what comes next
$PLS Pulsechain is undervalued not because of it's capabilities but Richard Heart has returned after his victory against the SEC and the engagement is High on X.
Microsoft becomes part of the $4 trillion group.
I'm going to be retaking a position in Pulsechain. Realize it is a $6.6 Billion marketcap and would be #30 on CoinGecko if them and CoinMarketCap didn't keep it off the front page. Most things are dumping and it is staying green.
I am loving the Inleo community more and more. See what Thomas Moore just did, sent me 2.5 HBD to complete my funds for premium renewal. Though this is a loan, I am more than grateful for this. Thanks man.
thomas moore is a nice person. enjoy
The primary rule of personal finance is to reach a position of stability.
Without the ability to cover essential expenses and having an emergency fund, decisions are driven by fear.
Fear-based decisions lead to errors, missed opportunities, and make it challenging to create the future deserved, so focus on these steps:
Lions,
Get some LSTR exposure before the entire initial sale is gone or you will be buying it 35% higher (and this 35% is growing)
LSTR's initial sale is a huge opportunity to get into it before it goes to the open market. The fund's LEO value continues to rise. At $0.12, the fund's value will be trading at a 70%+ discount

Thoughts?
It seems to have struck a chord.
Never experienced it myself, but was often told to bite a child's finger firmly if they were a biter to teach them not to repeat it. What about you?
Didn't face this issue with my kids, so it wasn't something to worry about, but not inclined to judge.
Rate cuts are not likely. The deficit remains a growing and unsustainable concern. Absolutely, more Bitcoin is being purchased.
🥳 Cheers to a decade!

An email arrived claiming there were two unclaimed airdrops linked to an anonymous email, supposedly with the right credentials. The sender was "[email protected]" (note the missing 'k'), clearly indicating it's a scam.
This suggests a potential security breach. Any insights on this matter?
If you didn't sign up for an airdrop while will you ever look at that twice 🤷
Nice catch. Scamers are a tricky bunch.
Yeah, gotta stay sharp with these fake emails. They’re getting sneakier every day with those tiny typos like "banless" instead of "bankless"

Exercise caution when facing decisions that are difficult to undo.
However, if an irreversible mistake is made, worrying about it won't help. The focus should be on making the best possible decision moving forward. Always capitalize on the current circumstances.

The narrative shifted from labeling crypto as a scam to regulators like the SEC undertaking initiatives to bring financial markets onto the blockchain. This feels like a lasting victory.
