That is why people smoke despite knowing......the fact that it could potentially damage the agility of lungs and could further lead to consequences like cancer.

Tough loss. A couple of tough losses mixed in with some great wins. Injuries to the bullpen are starting to take it's toll but a bigger concern is the lack of clutch hitting. Bases loaded with no outs and all they can score is one run down two in the bottom of the ninth. A lot of weak hitters currently in the Mets lineup despite scoring a ton of runs the last two games.

On the other hand, we do not touch fire, because it will burn our hands and the consequences of the hazard is immediate, so we consciously avoid it. When the hazard or consequence becomes a slow and long-drawn process, we tend to remain indifferent to it.
That comes down to the question of how conscious we are whatever we do and second, whether we have an informed choice.
