Kraven The Hunter turns out to be a different take on the classic Marvel villain, making him more of an anti-hero who actually likes animals 🦁 instead of hunting them down, the story follows Sergei Kravinoff played by Aaron Taylor Johnson who gets supernatural powers after a mysterious potion and lion's blood mix, sounds weird but we've seen worse origin stories in comic book movies, the first part of the movie shows how toxic his father is and how he wants to control everything around him including his sons 👨👦, the action scenes are pretty good with an R rating that makes everything more intense and brutal, even though the plot feels messy at times it manages to keep you interested until the end, the movie has some creative kills that could easy fit in a horror movie

the russian hunter gets help from Calypso played by Ariana DeBose who gives him the potion that saves his life 🧪, sadly her character doesn't get much to do besides being a lawyer with a magic potion, the movie introduces two villains, Aleksei Sytsevich who becomes the Rhino and a mysterious assassin called the Foreigner with time powers that are never explained 🕰️, Alessandro Nivola as the Rhino brings some crazy energy to his scenes specially when he talks to his dog, Russell Crowe as Nikolai brings his thick russian accent and over the top lines about strength and legacy that somehow work for the character

the biggest issues with this action movie come from the technical side, the CGI animals look fake and cartoonish 🦏 specially during action scenes, the movie had some reshoots and last minute changes that show in some scenes that don't work well together, time jumps happen without warning and characters move from one place to another with no explanation, Fred Hechinger who plays Dmitri starts enjoying violence after getting his finger cut off during his kidnap 🔪, the movie tries to set up his character as the Chameleon but it feels rushed and incomplete

this anti hero story brings everything together in the end with a big showdown between the main character and both villains to save his brother 🤼, the forest sequence shows off the best hunting skills while the Rhino transformation brings some heavy CGI action that looks okay in daylight, the final battle has some good hand to hand combat scenes 👊, the whole thing ends up being about family drama and getting away from the criminal empire run by his father, who turns out to be behind everything that happened

this sony universe movie might not be what comic fans wanted but it works as an action movie with enough entertainment for a one time watch 🎬, it's definitely better than Morbius and tries something different with its R rating approach, even with all its problems like flat performances and CGI issues it manages to be fun, sadly this might be Sony's last attempt at these spinoffs as they seem to be moving away from them to focus on their Spider-Verse movies and projects with Tom Holland 🕷️, at least they tried something different this time around even if it didn't quite work out as planned

I am american by birth, as in born here, and never gave a second thought to it, ubntil I got rounded up with a bunch of illegal aliens, and found myself on a plane to another country.
The crazier thing was I had invested all my money Hive and Leo in an @easydefi project on Cubfinance with @shortsegments and CUbfinance was on a tear! I mean it was killing it and i was making money every month.
Thank goodness @shortsegments sent out the earnings weekly back then and so in the year I was stuck in that hell hole country...Cubfinance and @shortsegments helped me survive.
The crazy thing is when I got back I thought Cubfinance was the best thing in the world, not knowing it had fucking blew up into a shit show...I never knew because @shortsegments kept sending me money and I found other work on line..

the biggest issues with this action movie come from the technical side, the CGI animals look fake and cartoonish 🦏 specially during action scenes, the movie had some reshoots and last minute changes that show in some scenes that don't work well together, time jumps happen without warning and characters move from one place to another with no explanation, Fred Hechinger who plays Dmitri starts enjoying violence after getting his finger cut off during his kidnap 🔪, the movie tries to set up his character as the Chameleon but it feels rushed and incomplete

Through some bureacratic mix-up my as ended up in a country I had never been to and I barely spoke the language. I was fucked.
The crazy thing was I still had access to Hive and Leofinance, as it was called at the time.
The crazier thing was I had invested all my money Hive and Leo in an @easydefi project on Cubfinance with @shortsegments and CUbfinance was on a tear! I mean it was killing it and i was making money every month.

Thank goodness @shortsegments sent out the earnings weekly back then and so in the year I was stuck in that hell hole country...Cubfinance and @shortsegments helped me survive.
The crazy thing is when I got back I thought Cubfinance was the best thing in the world, not knowing it had fucking blew up into a shit show...I never knew because @shortsegments kept sending me money and I found other work on line..
Then right before I got my paperworkl together @shortsegments cashed us all out, he sold everything and suddenly my whole investment showed up in my wallet! It made it possible for me to legally return. You just don't know what it meant...
I wrote a post when I returned and I basically forgot all about it until now. For some reason reading about the surgeons cancer brought it all back.
