Splinterlands Nineteenth Season of 2023, Gladius Packs and SPS

The Splinterlands season ended earlier this week so I want to review my rewards and check up on some things in the game. I stayed in Silver rank for most of the season and advanced on the day before the end to get some gold chests. My plan didn't go according to schedule and I didn't get as many chests as I got in the previous season. The fights were just tough and I stopped when I reached Gold II because I didn't want to risk anything for my rewards.

Season Rewards

Compared to last season, my rewards would be about the same as last time. I did chaos legion packs but there were no legendary cards this time. There is less SPS this time around, but slightly more merits. However, there were no gold foil cards this time. My potions were lower than last time too.

Gladius Packs

I was able to collect 6 packs since the last time I opened packs. My guild move toward 3 star brawls and the rewards can depend based on my luck in brawls. I did get 2 gold foil cards and 1 epic card so I am quite happy with my case openings. These cards will help me in brawls because I take part in the gold foil brawls.

I was able to get a gold foil Isgald Vorst Gladiator card at level 3. This is a great card to have even if it isn't better than my common foil card. It's a great card with opportunity and it's a fast damage dealer as well.

I got a gold foil Relenor Cleaver Gladiator at level 2. This a pretty good card with the reach ability. It's a great card to have if there is enough mana available.

SPS

It's been a few more days compared to last time but the number hasn't changed that much outside of the modern ranked battles. A few extra days of fighting is what makes up of the SPS difference.

My pool rewards for the season is 137.995 SPS. I plan on staking all of this along with all of my staking rewards for a total of 327.988 SPS. The total SPS was around what I usually expected if I discount the difference between the liquidity rewards. Either way, I am still gathering more VOUCHERS for the next promo card. It looks like the Rebellion pre-sale will be using VOUCHERS and I plan on buying 100 packs. So the VOUCHERS will go towards that. I will still have to buy more though to make up for what I am missing.

Conclusion

Going forward, I will be sticking with the Silver League and moving up to gold on the last day. The rewards are slightly better than last time but I was hoping for better. While it isn't the worst, I still think this was about average. So far, out of 8 claims, 5 of them were good and this was the sixth time when I used the potions along with the season rewards so I was expecting it to help me out more. The quality of the chests does matter but I don't know how things will go because the fights have become more competitive as people rush into modern ranked battles. I thought that the battles would get easier but it's hard. Even my chests were lower compared to last time
