Turned 3 on Bitcoin Halving Day
The fourth Bitcoin halving was successfully carried out earlier today and the crypto space seems optimistic. Maybe most people are taking their time to observe what happens next. Would Bitcoin soar and break the previous ATH? I wonder if we will see the impact on the price in the next few months but until then, stacking continues.
Meanwhile, Hivebuzz reminded me of another special event in the day. I didn't even realize until I received it, lol!
3 years ago today, I created this account without knowing anything about Hive. I remember coming here, signing up, exploring for a little while, logging out, and not returning until several months later.
I did share a few times in the past that I was mostly an absentee on this blockchain in 2021.
Zero activity for the first 3-4 months (April to July). My first post was on the 3rd of August and I had an inconsistent presence for 5 months (5 posts in August, zero in September, 14 in October, 33 in November, and 21 posts in December). But even so, I had already been staking all my rewards then. I also bought HIVE from Binance, sent it here, and powered it up because I often ran out of Resource Credits.
Aah, remembering those days makes me smile!
Yes, I was serious about learning more and decided to treat Hive as a long-term project. Hence, in January 2022, I did my first ever HPUD, and my daily staking started too.
Growing HIVE Stakes
My goal then was to grow my Hive Power which at that time was 288 per the screenshot (above) which I shared in my first HPUD post on January 1 of 2022.
Well, the stakes grew over time and this is how the numbers (staked HIVE) went from zero to what it is today:

Growing the Leo Power
I first learned about the INLEO community (then LeoFinance) around the end of March 2022 and started building my Leo Power on the 1st of Apr so this is my second year. Here's how my LP grew in the last 24 months:

I'm pretty stoked to see how much my staked LEO has grown and love to grow it further. Unlike in 2022 until the end of 2023, I didn't buy any LEO this year. Most of what I'm adding to my stakes are rewards from my content (long-form and threads), curation, and HP delegation.

Thoughts
Time flies, noh? I didn't even realize that today is my 3rd Hive Birthday until I received the notification badge from Hivebuzz so I'm very thankful to the HB team for recording our blockchain milestones through their cool badges, making our Hive journey more fun and memorable.
Seeing my account stakes (HIVE and LEO) continually growing makes me feel proud. In addition, my HBD Savings is increasing too. It is now 847. As usual, I'm patting myself on the back to celebrate my small wins.
