Summing Up the Wen Soon Show (AMA Recap)

The Leo AMA happens to be midnight in my timezone and I missed this week's show because I wasn't feeling my best yesterday. Thankfully, they always have the recorded version which allows us to listen to it. For those who missed it, here's a quick summary, or better yet, check it out here.

Discussions and/or updates included the following:

INLEO Premium

• Bookmarking Feature - An upgrade was rolled out so when you bookmark something, it goes to the LeoCache database so it is tied to the Hive account, not the browser (as it used to before) so users can see or access it across their devices. It works for all but premium subscribers will have the ability to create folders to categorize their bookmarks.

• Premium subscription auto-renewal might not become available but 6-month and 12-month subscription periods with a little discount may be added at some point.

• The gifting feature was launched a few days ago where premium users can gift another with a premium subscription. Speaking of which, Scaredycatguide's premium subscription expired and Khal gifted him during the AMA. Lucky lad!
  
  

Onboarding & Zealy Campaign

• Khal mentioned that Eric has been working hard to have a coordinated approach which has never been done before here on the blockchain - bringing different groups on Hive to do things together and the Zealy campaign is a great way to do it.

  The goal is to get as many Hive users and communities involved in the Zealy campaign and collaborate in onboarding.

  Currently, INLEO has a monthly active user (MAU) of 1800 which is about 20% of the Hive MAU. Will be interesting to see how the number will grow further as we keep on with the campaigns and the collaboration with influencers.
  
  

• He also gave a brief mention of the campaign already live and the prizes being over $10k (including 5k HBD, 100k SPS, and various others).

  Toward the end of the show, Khal shared that the frequency of the campaigns depends on the success of the present one.
  
  

LeoAmbassadors

• INLEO is onboarding 2 influencers in the next 24 hours as ambassadors for the INLEO brand. The influencers are already doing regular Spaces each week and have over 100 listeners/viewers in their shows. They will encourage their followers to join INLEO and in return, they get paid referrals. These influencers will have threadcasts here onchain and INLEO will give them some funds to give away as prizes to the participants.

  Accordingly, the setup is to help the influencers monetize themselves and help them grow their audience, and for them to post threads, and blog posts on INLEO.
  
  

Leo Node

• There have been issues on the Hive nodes lately which is obviously impacting the activities. INLEO is currently spreading requests to about 10 nodes because there are many things being posted in the UI but even so, they are not enough because there's rate limiting in each of the nodes.
  
  

• Leo is building its own private full node (for storing and retrieving data from the blockchain) for the INLEO frontend. Khal mentioned further that the LEO node will be able to handle all the requests and increase speed and scalability. Hopefully, it will come soon to ease the loads on the current Hive nodes.
  
  

Weekly Shows by INLEO

INLEO is pushing more shows and these are the current and another one expected to come:

• AMA which happens every Tuesday

• Chain Chatters every Wednesday

  This is where founders from other projects are invited to join and talk about Crypto, Web 3, Tokenization, etc
  
  

• Enter the Lion's Den

  This is the tentative name for a new show coming which will happen every Thursday. This piqued my interest as to what the show is about and what the topics would be. Hopefully, it will be at a convenient time so I can attend.

  Add to these are the shows by TM, Nifty, and Jongo which happen every month (Town Hall).
  
  

Others & Final Thoughts

• It was mentioned that the Leo Promotion is coming soon where users can utilize LEO tokens to promote their own or other people's posts.

• The AI auto-summary to threads feature is yet to launch in the Leo UI and I'm personally looking forward to it.

• INLEO is doing what it can to grow the active user base of Hive through various initiatives like the Zealy campaign and if you are not on in yet, join us now through this link. Partnering up and collaborating with X influencers and making them as LeoAmbassadors to help onboard more people is quite interesting it's exciting to see how this is going to pan out.

• It is good that INLEO is building its own node, another move that shows it is building for the long run.
