Today brings the 12th LPUD badge from HiveBuzz, if you got them all. There might have been one or two months before that when there were no badges but there was an LPUD. I participated from the beginning, even before the badges, so maybe this is the 13th or 14th consecutive LPUD for me.

Badges vs NFTs

I like badges because they are good reminders of our consistency or achievements over time and they play an important role in incentivizing user activity. They are also the precursors of today's NFTs, at least for the gamification purposes.

The difference with NFTs is they are tradable, so you can actually monetize your achievements or buy the NFTs you are missing. Is this fair? Well, it will trade time versus money (in whatever form), but the question that remains is what will achievements reflect then? They are no longer personal achievements, since they can be purchased.

I believe a mix of both systems would be preferable. The old nontransferable badge system shows personal performance, while NFTs is the monetized version which allows those who gain the NFTs to trade them, thus earning more on their time.

LPUD

Today, I staked the remaining whole amount of LEO I had after yesterday's power ups. So, 170 LEO staked, more than the 150 needed for participating in LPUD.

I am now at 18,170 LP which is a little bit better than yesterday and closer to my yearly goal.

Thanks. I believe 3 years ago I was below 2k, so it's doable. Consistency and goals help a lot. Or at least they help me.

Actually, you do:
