My sisters wanted to go shopping at the liquidation center and called to see if I wanted to go with them. In the past, I have gotten some good deals, like an extendable battery operated chainsaw all that was missing was the can of oil, and a drill for drilling in corners. I went with them.
They had moved to a new building since the last time I went to their store. This one was an old fruit packinghouse and was now filled with useless, expensive things. It was a very bad sign when one of my sisters showed me a blanket. At the store it came from, it had a price of 70 dollars, the store had it on clearance for 35, and the liquidation center had a price of 50 dollars on it.
Window A/C units were dented, and they were 180.00, new at Walmart, they are 150 or less. They did have several weed eaters made by Craftsman, they were 35 dollars, I thought that would be a good price if they would have had a battery with it. Then there was a can of rust penetrating oil, like Blaster, for getting rusty bolts out. They wanted 20 dollars a can.
I know I do not get out much, but what has happened to the price of things? We stopped at one of my sister's favorite thrift stores, Goodwill. Me and the other sister never shop there, but the other one wanted to go to it. I like old bottles and buy them for 25 cents or up to a dollar if they are unusual. At Goodwill, they want 8 dollars for a bottle that is nothing special. I feel like I should not shop unless I am going to a yard sale.
When I got home, my husband was replacing the brake shoes on his truck. The wind has been blowing too hard for us to fish and is supposed to blow for a few more days.

Money supply inflation is one of the biggest factors in consumer price inflation. It also transfers wealth to the politically connected with access to the new money and credit first. Then there's the chaos of tariffs on imported goods, which includes basically everything in some stores. Greed is always a constant, but the market is massively distorted by political intervention, yet the market somehow always gets the blame.
I understand why the tariffs brought the prices up on new merchandise, but old things like those already in a store or at the liquidation store should not be as high. It is only GREED, because they can do it, and if we want the item, we will pay their price, and they know this.
My sister was trying to find prices on clothes in Walmart, but they no longer put them on each item. We were told it is because the prices keep going up and it is easier for them to hang one sign for each section, you have to look for the sign.

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
I've been labelled a lot of things on Hive 😂 by the biggest farmers scammers and downvoters
Actions speak louder than any words do especially when them words are coming from a compolsive liars

Our Goodwill built a new building a few years ago, and everything in it is overpriced. I prefer some of the other thrift stores in the area.
