5 minute freewrite 2835 prompt funny nightmare

This is my post for #freewriters 2835 prompt funny nightmare hosted by @mariannewest.

It is hotter than hot in our yard, and my husband decides it is a good time to see if he can set up the screened room tent by himself. I hear cursing coming from the front yard and see movement under the tent. I knew something was not going as planned.

He wants to do it himself so he can see how hard it will be to do it alone when camping. But he was struggling so I climbed in with him and held a pole.

We got it up, and I told him it does not look right. He tells me he knows the poles are right. They might be right, but this was becoming a funny nightmare, but I dare not say that to him.

Now he swears it will look right when we put the middle pole in place. That is when he noticed the ties were on the inside. "We" put the poles that went on the outside, inside and the one that went inside, we had outside because the tent is upside down.

We had to take all of the poles out and flip it the right side out. Now, with it like that, it went up with no problem.

He said the place he wants to camp at next does not have any privacy between camp sites, so he is hanging tarps on the outside of the screened room. He said he plans on setting it up over the picnic table. I hope he can remember which side is up.

That should give him privacy.
