5 minute freewrite 2721 prompt north of there
This is my post for #freewriters 2721 prompt north of there hosted by @mariannewest
My back hurts, my hand hurts, and all day today, I have been having a stabbing pain behind my right eye, it comes and goes but luckily the pain does not last long. I have had this pain several times before, but have never mentioned it to a doctor because every time I say I have something wrong, they send me to other doctors. What happened to going to one doctor and them treating you?
Last night, I found a boat trailer for sale that looked like it would fit my boat. It was an aluminum trailer at a decent price, and the guy wanted 400 for it. I messaged him and asked when I could see it, he said any morning I wanted to come. I told him I would be there at 10 this morning. He sends me a message saying he has it at a friend's house and would need to bring it to his house, and then he will send me the address. Why would he tell me I could see it any morning? Since I have not heard from him anymore, I sent him a message and told him I found another trailer. He sent back a message saying, It's ok because he has not found another trailer for his boat. Sometimes I have to wonder where someone's head is at. Why advertise it when you still need it?
In the meantime, my sister said I could use the trailer under her son's boat. The trailer I was looking at was north of there, so hers is closer to us. We spent today getting the boat off the trailer and blocking it up. I was glad my husband came to help, it was a big job and I do not think we could have done it alone. This trailer is wider than I need, but it will work. I did not take the picture, my sister took it to show me how she made a house for her dog when he is outside on a rope, and I saw the boat trailer in the background. The dog was using the boat to get under. This thing was part of her grandkids' swingset, it was a tunnel they climbed through before going down the slide.
My sister has a roll of fence and some metal fence posts. I told her we have the thing you pound the poles in the ground with, and I will bring it and help her put a fence up for the dog, I HATE to see a dog tied to a rope.
Her trailer had a bad tire, so we had to take the tire we put on my trailer yesterday back off and put it on her trailer. Yesterday I renewed my trailer tag, and now I have to transfer it to her trailer. I think I will need to put the trailer in my name to do this. A couple of weeks ago, I went with my sister to buy a trailer for her lawn mower, and she took the boat trailer tag and transferred it to her new trailer. This seems to be getting too much, it is one thing after another, and I am doubting if trying to fish is the right thing to do. It seems like everything is fighting me.

That trailer issue sounds like a lot of hassle. I think you're right about moving the plates from one to the other. I agree about the dog chained. When I lived with my ex-husband we couldn't keep our Samoyed Husky in the house because she would chase the cats too much. We adopted her from a friend who couldn't keep her because of her size. Her original owner had died. I lived in a trailer and she was like AA bowl at a China house. But I never wanted a dog to be chained. I'm sorry to hear about the health issues. I go to several specialists myself. And you're right, they always want you to go to a new one for a new problem. To my account, I have a neurologist, a gastroenterologist, an endocrinologist, and a gynecologist treating me in addition to my family doctor. I don't like how much time I have to take off work to do specialist visits. That doesn't include vision and dental benefits. I hope you feel better soon and things calm down.
Thank you. I am sorry, it sounds like you have many problems, too. Getting older is better than the alternative but, damn, I am tired of it.
I knew old people had health issues, but I never thought I would be one to have them. I would not mind seeing these doctors if I could get answers, but so far, they have not found what is happening with me. I looked at my health record and counted 36 tests they have run on me to find nothing. When a new doctor looks at them, he would think I had nothing wrong. I think it is a gastroenterologist that they want me to see next. I do not know if that will be the same kind of doctor who wants to do a colonoscopy, but I think they will be different doctors because they gave me 2 different phone numbers.
Not all gastrointestinal doctors are surgical. If you haven't seen either the surgical reference may be able to tackle both issues. My issues are all, thankfully, diagnosed. I know I have gastritis, migraine, osteoporosis, and thyroid nodules that yearly get scanned. I'm sorry no one can get to the bottom of your suffering. My son and sister have both dealt with things that go undiagnosed. Both of them also have behavioral issues, anxiety and depression. And sometimes illness lies hidden and doctors can only rule out problems by all the tests. Sending prayers. Take care and one day at a time.
