The Scoop | ZAPFIC MONDAY (Week of 4/28/25) | Prompt: drama (trajedia)
This week's ZAPFIC Monday challenge centers around the prompt "drama" and presented the opportunity to explore exactly what drama entails in the concept of an individual's life. We all have events that occur. Whether those events originate internally or externally, I believe it's our reactions and resolutions that count.
When I think of the definition of "drama", the term can either be positive or negative. It's an occurrence that we experience in which the outcome may be exciting, emotional, or unexpected. The occurrence can also be long and drawn out if a series of events happen rapidly or over a short period of time.
I remember as a young adult I'd hear people refer to others as "drama" queens or kings. I took the word to mean that some individuals crave or are drawn to a state of heightened emotions, situations that cause distress, or circumstances that continue to happen. I would ask myself why is it happening? To me, there was no way the individuals could live a peaceful existence. I share a ZAPFIC Monday story with a single event in mind.

My story is below:
Sirens pervaded the office as workers huddled to fathom the drama's cause.
"Away from windows. Proceed to designated stairways. Avoid elevators," the loudspeaker blasted.
32nd floor employees quickly spread rumors via text.
A hostage crisis.

A todos nos ocurren cosas. Tanto si se originan interna como externamente, creo que lo que cuenta son nuestras reacciones y resoluciones.
Cuando pienso en la definición de «drama», el término puede ser positivo o negativo. Es un acontecimiento que experimentamos y cuyo desenlace puede ser emocionante, emotivo o inesperado. También puede ser largo y prolongado si una serie de acontecimientos suceden rápidamente o en un corto periodo de tiempo.
Recuerdo que de joven oía a la gente referirse a otros como reyes o reinas del «drama». Entendía que algunos individuos ansían o se sienten atraídos por un estado de emociones exacerbadas, situaciones que causan angustia o circunstancias que siguen sucediendo. Me preguntaba por qué sucedía eso. Para mí, no había forma de que los individuos pudieran vivir una existencia pacífica. Comparto una historia de los Lunes de ZAPFIC con un único acontecimiento en mente.

La primicia
Las sirenas invadieron la oficina mientras los trabajadores se apiñaban para averiguar la causa del drama.

Los empleados de la planta 32 no tardaron en difundir rumores por SMS.

BEER.It is exactly the same if we take the example of TV dramas here, we are shown both good and bad things there, so it is better that we learn from the good things and change our lives.
That's an interesting and sometimes true way of looking at the situation. We are given an issue to deal with. It's how we approach the drama that may determine the outcome.
