I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #360 - Whale Dreams - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Saturday, July 22, 2023

I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

Since I set my new long-term goal of reaching 600,000 HP, and whale level, I've been doing a fair bit of musing, imagining, and whale watching. I've been looking more closely at the top accounts with the most HP (and reputation, too, though that often doesn't corelate with HP), to see how much they have, what they're doing with it, what their returns are, what they're doing with HBD and layer-2 tokens, and the like, and it's utterly fascinating.

We're talking accounts with multiple million HP, and equally astonishing US-dollar values. Some of these accounts receive more HP or HIVE returns in one day than I do in a month or more. The amounts are truly wild. Many of these top accounts pay little to no attention to layer-2 tokens, or even HBD for that matter. Those that do have HBD in Savings receive incredible monthly interest. Some delegate all of their HP, and of course receive massive delegator payouts. The one thing that has surprised me in my whale-watching excursions is just how often I see unused, or very ineffectively used, assets and resources. Maybe once you get to that level you just don't care about managing assets and resources any longer. I don't know. It just struck me as very odd.

That made me realize that it's actually a really good thing that I started from nothing, and built and grew everything that I have now from scratch, because in my time doing so I've learned, adjusted, and refined so much of how I do things, and how I manage the resources that I do have available. By the time I reach whale level, my Hive Multi-Stream Passive-Income Machine will be quite something to behold indeed!

This whale watching, and my whale dreams, are a way of making being at that level more real for me, and bringing it closer to something possible in my world. It is possible, and I will get there. Yesterday continued the trend of being mostly sunny with occasional rain showers, and as usual Hive got the majority of my focus from morning to just before 2:30PM, by which point I had everything done and caught up, and at a good pause-point to be able to go get some work on the land done. Before working, I walked around for a while, taking photos for this post.

As I was taking photos, I noticed that I felt 'off', and this feeling did not change, so I drank some water with sea salt, then headed back to the Flow House to lay down and close my eyes for a short while, which thankfully helped a great deal. When I got up maybe half an hour later, I felt a lot better, so I went to do some land work finally. For work, I planted a Thai banana keiki (propagule) in the front orchard (that I had dug up the week before), cleared cane grass around the edges of my nursery, potted up a white-variegated mutation of pink fringe - Arthrostemma ciliatum that I found growing up by the front driveway, and cleaned around the Landing a bit, taking various objects that had collected there to where they belong.

After working I poured out another round of kefir for my kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao blend, then I heated up some lasagna that Melekai had made, with a little of my hot sauce added. I don't eat lasagna often, so it was an enjoyable treat. With food made, I made my way back to the Flow House to do my last round of Hive catch-up and tasks for the night, which I thankfully finished early once again. Because I got everything on Hive done so early, I ended up writing and publishing a Linux post, Let's Learn Linux!: The Beauty of the Rolling-Release Model - Issue #12, something I hadn't done in about three months. After publishing that post, I did one last round of catch-up on Hive, then I finally went to bed around 11:30PM.

I slept very well last night, which is wonderful, and I woke up just before sunrise, feeling refreshed and clear. I was in the middle of doing my early morning round on Hive, when Omya called to ask if I could give her a session today. So that's something I'll be doing at some point this afternoon. Because I'm giving a session, I have to get as much of my Hive catch-up and tasks done as I can beforehand.

It's now just about 10:30AM, so a very good time to end this post, so that I can dive into getting Hive to a good pause-point before Omya arrives. I also have my giant Sunday Weekly Hive Goals and Progress Update to put together and publish later. I deeply appreciate you all! Until tomorrow morning (for these posts at least)!
