I Am Alive And Thriving|| Thankful Thursday Curation Collection|| Attended My Kids School’s Inter-house Sports|| My Take Home From The Event

Hello friends on Hive. Welcome to another beautiful Thankful Thursday at @wearealivetribe. I'm so grateful to be alive and thriving,trust you are too.

Yesterday was a very busy but fun filled day for me and my girls at their school's inter-house sports ceremony like I stated on Monday when planning my week, I'm so grateful that I was present at the event which started at about 11:05 am. with a very bright and sunny weather with so many parents who also came to cheer their wards up and guests who graced the occasion. Watching them parform in procession in their different house's colours I flashed my mind back to when I was their age how excited I used to be whenever we had such occasion..

It was only 10 minutes gone into the program the rain started just like a joke, what seemed like drizzling turned into heavy downpours. At first, the sportsmaster asked them to leave the field thinking it would stop in no time but it continued for more than 30 minutes. Then he instructed everyone to go back into the field and continue with the game since they have no control over the climate change. The rain could not stop them from carrying out their sporting activity just like they couldn't stop it from raining. It was an all-day-rain event but it was fun as well for the children especially as my kid and her team came second at the end of the tournament.

As I observed the program been done in the rain in an open field, seeing the kids with excitement written all over their faces I reflected on our everyday life's personal activities. How one will be quick to put off an appointment or other engagements just because of rain or change in weather ( something one has no control over). How we easily procrastinate on things we should do just because we feel the timing wasn't convenient for us, we give “justifiable” excuses to suit our actions or inactions. Neglecting the gain we stand to get when we do what we ought to do.There and then I learned that we can only do things to achieve our dreams if we find reasons that out weigh our doubts and fears. Reasons beyond our procrastinations and excuses.

Indeed I'm so thankful I made it to the event and for the huge success recorded.
I'm thankful for the joy and privilege to witness this day #thankfulthursday, being #aliveandthriving and for my beautiful family and supportive friends both here on Hive.
