Bichitos raros que le gustan a mis hijos / Weird creatures my children love
Paseando por una de las galerías del centro, vi una vitrina que me llamó la atención, sobre todo porque estaban algunas de las figuras que suelen ver mis hijos a través de la computadora.
Aunque lo veo en todos lados, la figura de Labubu se ha tergiversado al colocarlo en colores y situaciones que a mi parecer no le combinan con la personalidad de este particular muñequito.
Cuando volví a casa le mostré las fotos a mi hijo menor y su comentario fue que los de colores eran "chimbos" (o truchos, como dirían acá en Argentina) pues se veían tiesos y no como peluchitos, que según él son los originales.
También vi muchas de las cartas coleccionables que han sacado con las imágenes de los brainrot, las cuales mi hijo quiere tener, pero yo me niego a comprarle, pues me resultan grotescas e innecesarias, ya mucho hago dejándolo ver los shorts de estos personajes.
Pero las que si me gustaron fueron las de los videojuegos de Hollow Nights y Silksong, pues estos insectos me dan ternura, además de que me parece una buena idea para cambiarle la imagen a estos animalitos, que en muchos casos son vistos con repudio.
De los tres que salen en las fotos, solo reconocí a la del vestido rojo, pues es la protagonista de Silksong, y me encanta ver cuando mi hijo lo juega, pues es la imagen de una fémina empoderada que lucha para ganar lo que le corresponde.
Sin embargo, como yo muy poco conozco el lore del videojuego, me llevé mi regaño cuando lo comentaba en casa, pues el vendedor es de Hollow Night y no de Silksong, aunque para mi son como familia todos esos bichitos.
Lo bueno es que a pesar de gustarles todos los figurines, mis hijos no se antojan de comprarlos (salvo las cartitas de los brainrots, aunque no ha seguido insistiendo con eso) sobre todo porque siendo amante de iniciar colecciones de miniaturas, de seguro ya habría hecho lo imposible por complacerlos.
Por lo pronto, nos quedamos con las fotos de los bichitos raros que le gustan a mis hijos, pues quizás en unos cuantos años le llamen la atención otras cosas y esto quede solo como un recuerdo de esta época.

When I got home, I showed the photos to my youngest son, and his comment was that the colored ones were “fake” because they looked stiff and not like stuffed animals, which, according to him, are the originals.
I also saw many of the collectible cards that have been released with images of the brainrot, which my son wants to have, but I refuse to buy them for him, as I find them grotesque and unnecessary. I already do enough by letting him watch the shorts featuring these characters.
But the ones I did like were the Hollow Nights and Silksong video games, because I find these insects cute, and I think it's a good idea to change the image of these little animals, which in many cases are viewed with disgust.
Of the three that appear in the photos, I only recognized the one in the red dress, as she is the protagonist of Silksong, and I love watching my son play it, as it is the image of an empowered woman who fights to win what she deserves.
However, as I know very little about the lore of the video game, I got told off when I mentioned it at home, because the seller is from Hollow Night and not Silksong, although to me all those little creatures are like family.
The good thing is that even though my kids like all the figurines, they don't crave buying them (except for the brainrot cards, although he hasn't kept insisting on that), especially because, as a lover of starting miniature collections, I would surely have done everything possible to please them.
For now, we'll stick with the photos of the weird little creatures my kids like, because in a few years, other things may catch their attention and this will remain just a memory of this time.

No son los únicos a quienes les gustan estos bichos un tanto perturbadores, en mi franca opinión. Algo así como los bisnietos de los Teletubbies, Sailor Moon, Vaca y Pollito o Ray Stippi.
