Mouthwashing [Let's Play] Part 3 of 4: Blind Beast

Mouthwashing is an indie horror game with PS1-style 3D graphics and thrilling narrative. I first saw this game in gaming reviews channel, and the reviewer did an amazing job selling the atmosphere. Mouthwashing's story is told in a non-chronological order that keeps the mystery fresh until the final reveal during its 2-hours of playtime.

The story follows a group of five people on a freighter spaceship when it crashes with some asteroids, leaving them stranded in space. After months of waiting for help that never came, they finally break into the cargo room thinking they might find something useful in there. Turns out, the cargo they've been carrying all this time has been "mouthwash."

This game explores what happens to these people over a few months. The story keeps switching between character POVs and position in the timeline. After a while, it becomes clear that some of the things we witness hallucinations caused the characters' deteriorating sanity.

Part 3 of 4: Blind Beast

I spent most of the time this video trying to find a disinfectant for Daisuke who got injured for reasons that we didn't get the explanation for yet... After searching for a few minutes, I looked up a guide to know where I should go next...

The place I was supposed to go is the cargo, to use some mouthwash as disinfectant. Still, despite the room supposedly being full of them, I had to get Jimmy through vast, empty and dark corridors to get one... I couldn't move fast in the area because a monster was there..

I loved this part, but it was the most anxious part of the game for me. It was really hard to move slowly with the controller, I had to put my thumbs on the analog sticks without moving them too much. If I did, I'll come face-to-face with a horrifying horse monster!!

From this point, I knew that the characters in this game will start dying one by one, I just didn't know why yet...
