Let's Try "Alter Cosmos" - First 20~ Minutes

Alter Cosmos is another from my backlog that I tested for a bit. It follows a cute little kitty that gets kidnapped by aliens and turned into a monster. (See the monster in the image below? Yeah, it used to be a cute cat.) Now, he's planning to escape these aliens and will kill anyone standing in his way!

Alter Cosmos is an adventure Point-and-Click game with combat. The game's visual style is reminiscent of comic books and has absurdist tone. I haven't gone too far into the game as I only wanted to try it, but I like the tough personality of the protagonist. A cat monster that went insane and wants nothing but revenge.

I thought the gameplay was a bit clunky, it's not easy for a point-and-click game to contain action combat with so many options off the bat, despite Alter Cosmos doing its best in teaching me how the system works, I took some time getting used to it.

I may play this game again, but I played enough to think I have a feel of it so I went to the next game on my backlog.

Still...

I wonder if the owner of the cat, (the woman in the game's opening scene,) would return at later parts of the story. The screen lingered on her for far too long for a side-character...

If this mini-review, or the screenshots below made you want to play the game, I recommend trying it if you have it in the library from a bundle. But I'm not sure about actually buying it.
