Splinterlands - Last Day Of The Season

With less than 12 hours to go until end of season I am hoping to at least get to Diamond league before its over. As of now I am close to top 600 in gold league and assuming I do get to diamond my ranking would be closer to top 500.

My Land Plots

For the past four hours I have been playing with setting up my land plots. Since this is all my first time playing it took awhile to figure out how to stake a power core, then warriors, and finally start building.

What I found interesting is that some buildings have significantly more time to build than others. I only have natural and magic commons to compare but they are 1.5 million to 4.5 million respectively.

In the case of strategizing to getting buildings completed I decided to do a couple of approaches.

First I removed more rental cards in order to stake into land plots. What I found great about using legacy cards are their lower DEC staked requirements and a lot higher PP level per BCX.

Essentially my best plot currently has close to 28k PP.

My drawback of removing rentals will be mainly that I am earning less DEC. Overall I think this is for the better as I am trying to buildings completed in order to start growing and earning rewards on my plots.

Another approach I had was to buy some totems to boost my stats. The cost of a totem common was a lot more affordable than a title. It was 70 Hives to 150 Hives respectively and they both yielded 10% boost. So I went with buying a couple of totem commons and applied them where I could.

I did not want to go with purchasing time crystals as I don't see them as long term investments. Once they are used its gone forever. While investing in more cards or totems I will have those assets for potential future uses in addition to playing them in land.

Overall my first impressions of the new land 1.5 is pretty positive. The graphics are clear and easy to read. There were some points where I was unable to stake items properly as in game signature was asked each time I performed a stake. I had to refresh webpage every fee commands.

The backgrounds were vibrant which gives the game a new look as in the past the backgrounds tend to get overlapped by graphics immediately. Hence not allow players to visually observe the images clear.

On the front of the land production page it was a little confusing as to how the list of plots were basing its ranks on DEC staking requirements rather than having a column on total production.

Still there were more of the good than bad with this release. I will continue to play with different cards combinations as I can to seek best productions.
