Splinterlands: Speed is a great thing to consider in fights

Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a battle where speed was important.

Rule Set, Battle, and Plan

The rulesets this time are Standard. This means that there are no extra modifiers. There is also 34 mana available, and I can use any splinter except for earth and deeath.

The focus of this lineup is to keep my monsters alive while dealing damage and outlasting my opponent. My archon is Kelya Frendul for the +1 armor and speed. My tank is Alva the Crusher with shield and bloodlust. My backup tank is Flying Squid with reach. Following that is Venari Wavesmith, Deeplurker, and Swamp Spitter as support monsters and damage dealers.

Round 1

At first glance, I think that this match can go either way but I have a slight advantage. My opponent does have some strong monsters, so it depends on how fast I can start killing off some of the monsters.

Round 4

A few rounds later, my opponent is left with 1 monster but I still have 2. I win because I am faster than my opponent.

Conclusion

The battle did not go exactly as I planned. I wasn't expecting the ambush to deal quite a bit of damage before I got a chance to attack. However, I had good luck when killing off my opponent's Noa. So I was able to have quite a bit of buffer towards the end and win the match. My speed definitely helped me attack beforee my opponent to overcome that ambush.
