Splinterlands: Grimbardun Smith's Immunity helps out in Global Warming
Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle where I won because I used Grimbardun Smith.
Featured cards

Grimbardun Smith is a neutral splinter that costs 6 mana. This splinter starts with the immunity ability. Leveling up this card only increases the stats of this monster, and it learns void at level 3, shield at level 5, and repair at level 8. I use this card often when there is a bad status effect, such as burn or poison, or when I have the extra mana to have a high stat monster for weapons training.
Rule Set, Battle, and Plan

The rulesets this time are Global Warming. This means that all monsters start off burned. There is also 54 mana available, and I can use any splinter except for earth.
This fight is interesting because of global warming. You will take damage every single turn unless you cleanse it or if you are immune to the effects.
| Splinter | Mana Cost | Position | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marlai Singariel | 6 | Summoner | +1 magic |
| Chaos Rear Guard | 4 | 1st | Shield |
| Mantaroth | 11 | 2nd | Shield |
| Mystic Scaleweaver | 9 | 3rd | Slow |
| Ulundin Overseer | 11 | 4th | |
| Daarg Deadblast | 7 | 5th | Weapons Training and Swiftness |
| Grimbardun Smith | 6 | 6th | Immunity |
| Total Mana: | 54 |
My summoner is Marlai Singariel for its +1 magic. My tank is Chaos Rear Guard with shield. My backup tank is Mantaroth with shield too. Then I have Mystic Scaleweaver with slow. I have Daarg Deadblast for the switftness and weapons training. Next to it are two monsters without any attack, and one of them is Grimbardun Smith.
The focus of this lineup is to keep my monsters alive while my magic monsters wipe out my opponent. With weapons training, I am able to give Grimbardun Smith magic damage so it can deal damage and stay alive at the same time.
Round 1

At first glance, I think that I have the advantage in this match. My opponent may have quite a few strong monsters and taunt, but I have Grimbardun Smith with immunity. At the same time, my monsters will slowly deal damage against my opponents monsters.
Round 3

My opponent and I are both down to 3 monsters left. However, my backline is more healthy than my opponent. As I can't miss, I don't see anyway of my opponent turning this around.

I won that match later that round.
Conclusion
The battle this time went exactly as planned. I made my lineup in a way that would deal magic damage against my opponent while also making them suffer from the burn effect. Grimbardun Smith was good in that effect because it stayed alive until the very end, and it had magic damage due to weapons training. It's interesting to see how some cards without uses finally have some good lineups.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.

It is so important for one to know the abilities of the cards you have when summoning them for battle and ruleset is another important part if you want to win any battle,it must be given the utmost consideration.Your selection was spot on and your healthy card stayed through when the rules start unfolding.Kudos!
honestly i don't have this card, immunity makes it perfect for poison rules also, that never hurts

Grimbardun Smith is such a sleeper hit for the Global Warming ruleset. Most people panic and try to pack their team with Cleanse, but just sticking an Immunity tank in the back is way more efficient.
The immunity ability of Grimbardun Smith works perfectly in that match
the burn effect is sometimes challenging to handle in the match
