Splinterlands: Frankarsgard is great in What Doesn't Kill you

Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle where I won because I used Frankarsgard.

Featured cards

Frankarsgard is a fire splinter that costs 7 mana. This splinter doesn't start with any abilities, but it does gain the enrage skill at level 5. I have this card at level 4, and I use it quite often whenever I use fire in Frontier.

Rule Set, Battle, and Plan

The rulesets this time are What Doesn't Kill You and Fog of War. This means that all monsters gain the enrage ability, and there is no snipe, opportunity, or sneak. There is also 24 mana available, and I can use any splinter except for water and death.

This ruleset is interesting because of the fog of war and the enrage ability. Melee monsters are limited due to the removal of opportunity and sneak, but they do get buffed in terms of damage.

Total Mana:24

My summoner is Barthalamas for the +1 speed. My tank is Frankarsgard. My backup tank is Chaos Furybringer with reach, and my final damage dealer is Ash Archer.

The focus of this lineup is to keep my monsters alive while dealing damage and outlasting my opponent. Frankarsgard has high health so it can take quite a few hits. Chaos Furybringer is a fast monster in the back, and it is also melee so it works well as backup damage, and my ranged damage dealer will deal damage slowly.

Round 1

At first glance, I think that this match is mine to win. My has to kill 2 monsters before he can win, but I only have to kill one. We both have the same damage, but I have faster speed so I have the advantage.

Round 3

round 3.png
A few rounds later, my opponent is down to just a ranged monster left, so this is my win.

I won that match later that round.

Conclusion

The battle this time went exactly as planned. My speed helped me do more damage, and Frankarsgard did great in the What Doesn't Kill You Ruleset. Having a great tank in this ruleset helped as we both had the same damage, but the deciding factor has to be the speed.

You can see my entire match here.

What did you think of my match? Was there anything you would have done differently? I think it is quite interesting to see how different players use the same card.

It's always good to have more cards when you're playing in a ruleset like this. Congratulations for for win. The heal ability just couldn't help the opponent
