Splinterlands ~ The Closing of My Weekly Giveaway #017 - Paying Old Debt

Hello, nice to see you guys again

You know... in the past I used to say welcome to my Splinterlands Weekly Giveaway. But that's why I said in the past. I haven't done it again for more than a year.

That's my last one, more than a year ago. Damn, that's so old... And I really forgot I haven't closed that one yet. So today I will close the giveaway, and I am aware that the winner might have left from Splinterlands too.

There are many reason why I haven't closed it and why I have not continued it anymore.

1. There were times I was off away from Splinterlands. I played and retired multiple times, even today I only play on Juice Guild using a Scholarship Account. I have lose a lot of passion in Splinterlands, however sometime I feel like I want to play again.
2. Too many changes in Splinterlands that make me feel that this giveaway is not in line with their direction. For Example right now we only get SPS as our liquidable rewards. No Cards. My motto is sharing what I get, so in other words I can not share anything other than SPS here.
3. Some big guys dislike Giveaway posts. They see these as recycled posts, garbage, rewards exploitation. That time I could not debate with them, because I was new in Hive so I took everything as right if they came from OG. However right now I can see from different point of view and can say why Giveaway should exist.

THE CLOSING

Ok now the funny part, this giveaway is a way long forgotten months ago. Then why do I bump up the post again? nobody cares if none wins it anyway, some games do that in their discords, giving contests and never announce the winner...

Well I do not like to have any debt. If I can pay then I pay, I can do, then I do. I had a giveaway here, although myself forgot about this because I left this game in the past, but now I remember and I want to settle my debt here. That's the first answer that I can give you.

The second one... is because I have some thought lingering in my head recently. I am seeing Splinterlands kind of struggling, well currently all play to earn games are like that right? Atleast I want to do something that can spark joy and making Giveaway maybe is the way I know well.

My Giveaway Concept will be like this:

1. I only give Max Bronze Level cards. Giving a 1 bcx of commons or rares are a big no for me. For me, a rewards should be useful, and giving 1 bcx common cards which give you some penalty in Silver League is not useful.
2. My preference is only modern cards, It's hard to imagine that I am helping a small players or new ones who prefer to play in Wild with less rewards and higher difficulty. Those kind of players should be alts, or most likely alts, and they do not need some help.
3. The giveaway won't be a sharing one. Because I need to buy some cards then give them as rewards, from certain point of view this is similar to vote trading. Well this part is a grey area for sure... Everyone has their own standings towards this.

So I am asking you who read this, fellow Splinterlands players, should I try one more time running Splinterlands Giveaways with this new concept, or just let it go do other things more worthy?
