Genus Andrographis

I once again managed to find a truly beautiful wildflower—a small bloom thriving in the wild. I discovered this particular flower at the edge of a rice field, growing vigorously in nature's embrace. It has a unique, two-lipped, tubular shape; upon closer inspection, one can see two stamens protruding from the corolla tube, which is covered in fine hairs. While the flower is predominantly white, the inner surface of its upper lip features streaks or spots of dark purple and red. Unfortunately, its small size means its beauty is often overlooked; I even had to use a macro lens to capture its loveliness in photographs. I am sharing some images of this wildflower here, as I find its beauty captivating—especially up close. These photos remind us that beauty sometimes stems from things that are small and easily missed; it simply takes a little effort to truly see it.

This particular flower has a fairly stable population in my area, so it can easily be found almost anywhere.
