New in My Needlework Library

My favorite used bookstore never disappoints. Today I found this treasure in nearly perfect condition for a mere 75 cents.

Kreuzstich Arbeiten means "cross stitch work" in German. Although that is not a craft I do much, I have some lovely linens done by grandparents and great aunts. This book is enjoyable for the pictures and charts. It came in a box with some nice big paper patterns included.

As a knitter, I could take inspiration from the charts. The book is in the old time script, not as easy to read as regular print. It is pretty to look at, though.

I may eventually get some linen and try my hand at some cross stitch.
