Casual jumpsuit with adjustable waist and buttons on the front neckline

un saludo mi querida comunidad @needleworkmonday y a todos los que les encanta el arte de la costura, esta vez les comparto un proyecto muy bonito y que además es un diseño versátil, así le digo porque lo elabore para una clienta que está embarazada, sin embargo ella quiere que le sirva para después que salga de la barriguita. Se trata de un enterizo casual ajustable en la cintura con botones en la parte del escote delantero, elaborado en tela de algodón bien suave y cómoda. Este trabajo tenía fecha de entrega ya que ella lo quería lucir para su cumple que es el 28 de este mes y aunque estos compromisos no me gustan mucho, acepte el reto porque estoy de vacaciones y puedo dedicar más tiempo a los proyectos de costura. Ayer fue la entrega y gracias a Dios todo quedó como ella quería, que en realidad es lo que me encanta ver complacida y contentas a mis clientes con mi trabajo.

Greetings, my dear @needleworkmonday community and everyone who loves the art of sewing. This time, I'm sharing a very beautiful project with you, which is also a versatile design. I say this because I made it for a client who is pregnant, but she wants to be able to wear it after her baby bump is gone. It is a casual jumpsuit that is adjustable at the waist with buttons on the front neckline, made of very soft and comfortable cotton fabric. This project had a deadline because she wanted to wear it for her birthday on the 28th of this month. Although I don't really like these kinds of commitments, I accepted the challenge because I am on vacation and can devote more time to sewing projects. Yesterday was the delivery date, and thank God everything turned out the way she wanted it to. I really love seeing my clients pleased and happy with my work.

El primer paso para mis proyectos de costura es cortar todas las piezas necesarias para el diseño que voy a confeccionar, en este caso como es un enterizo vamos a cortar dos piezas para la parte inferior una delantera y otra para la espalda además de unas tiras para los tirantes de la camisa. Para el pantalón vamos a cortar dos piezas para la parte delantera y otra dos para la trasera, como también 4 piezas para los bolsillos.

The first step in my sewing projects is to cut out all the pieces needed for the design I am going to make. In this case, as it is a jumpsuit, we are going to cut two pieces for the bottom, one for the front and one for the back, as well as some strips for the shirt straps. For the pants, we are going to cut two pieces for the front and two for the back, as well as four pieces for the pockets.

Inicie elaborando el pantalón estilo deportivo con bolsillos en los costados. Comenzando con la parte delantera ubicando los bolsillos, luego uní el tiro delantero y también el trasero, después uní por los costados y por último las entrepiernas.

Start by making the athletic-style pants with side pockets. Begin with the front, placing the pockets, then join the front and back crotches, then join the sides, and finally the crotches.

Luego a la pieza de la parte delantera le dejé un sobrante de 8 centímetros para con este hacer un pliegue como soporte para colocar los 3 botones. El siguiente paso fue colocar por todo el borde del contorno del cuello un sesgo que elabore con la misma tela, al igual que por la sisa para unir parte delantera y espalda dejando la cantidad necesaria que sirva como tirantes. Por último cerramos por ambos costados y de esta manera ya tenemos lista nuestra camisa con tirantes.

Then, I left an 8-centimeter excess on the front piece to make a fold as a support for the three buttons. The next step was to place bias tape made from the same fabric around the entire edge of the neckline, as well as around the armhole to join the front and back, leaving enough to serve as straps. Finally, we closed both sides, and our shirt with straps was ready.

Por último unimos ambas piezas, es decir la camisa con tirantes y el pantalón dejando 2 centímetros de espacio de costura que después me sirvió para hacer el espacio por dónde voy a introducir el cordón decorativo. Al igual que hacer el doblez para realizar el ruedo del pantalón.

Finally, we join both pieces, that is, the shirt with suspenders and the pants, leaving 2 centimeters of seam allowance, which I then used to make the space where I will insert the decorative cord. The same goes for making the fold to create the hem of the pants.
