Weaving blues for a new knitting project

Greetings and blessings, my dear friends of the needles. I hope you are doing very well with health and wellness and continue the days of recollection, rest, and inspiration and creativity.

Yesterday I was very happy because I bought new yarns for my next knitting project. I have been saying for days that I wanted to take advantage of this Easter to knit, and it was not just a saying: I meant it. For me, knitting is much more than a hobby, it is a space of calm, of creation, of connection with myself. So I set myself the task of looking for the materials I needed to knit these days of recollection.

I chose shades of blue that I love. They are colors that transmit peace, serenity, and at the same time a very nice energy, as if they brought a little piece of the sea that I miss so much to my hands. I like how they combine with each other. Just looking at them makes me feel inspired. I can't help but imagine the final result, although I know that in the process many things can change. That is one of the beauties of knitting: it is a creation that is born with each stitch, with each decision you make along the way.

Ayer fui muy feliz porque compré nuevos hilos para mi próximo proyecto de tejido. Desde hace días venía diciendo que quería aprovechar esta Semana Santa para tejer, y no era solo un decir: lo decía en serio. Para mí, tejer es mucho más que un pasatiempo, es un espacio de calma, de creación, de conexión conmigo misma. Así que me di a la tarea de buscar los materiales que me hacían falta para tejer estos días de recogimiento.

Escogí tonos de azul que me encantan. Son colores que me transmiten paz, serenidad, y a la vez una energía muy bonita, como si trajeran un pedacito del mar que tanto extraño a mis manos. Me gusta cómo combinan entre sí. Solo con verlos ya me siento inspirada. No puedo evitar imaginar el resultado final, aunque sé que en el proceso muchas cosas pueden cambiar. Esa es una de las bellezas del tejido: es una creación que va naciendo con cada puntada, con cada decisión que uno toma en el camino.

I have already started my project, and the truth is that I feel very excited. As soon as I picked up the needles and began to see how the yarns were transformed, I felt that spark of joy that you can only feel when you do what you love. I am determined to make the most of these days. I know that sometimes time flies by, but I'm hopeful that I'll be able to get as much done as I can and hopefully finish it soon.

I can't wait to imagine the moment when I will see it finished and be able to share it with you, to whom I am very grateful for the kind words you always give to my work.

Ya comencé con mi proyecto, y la verdad es que me siento muy entusiasmada. Apenas tomé las agujas y empecé a ver cómo los hilos se transformaban, sentí esa chispa de alegría que solo se siente cuando uno hace lo que ama. Estoy decidida a aprovechar al máximo estos días. Sé que a veces el tiempo se pasa volando, pero tengo la esperanza de que me rinda para adelantar todo lo que pueda y, con suerte, terminarlo pronto.

Me hace ilusión imaginarme el momento en que lo vea terminado y poder compartirlo con ustedes, a quienes estoy muy agradecida por las amables palabras que siempre dedican a mi trabajo.
