Net woven cover for decorating a recycled jar(EN-ES)
Greetings and blessings, needle friends. I hope you are doing well with health and wellness and that it is a week of many projects realized.
On this new Needle Monday, I want to share with you a small project that allowed me to continue enjoying the pleasure of transforming with my hands. This time, I set out to take advantage of a ball I had with some brown yarn that had been left in my basket of materials, waiting for a new opportunity. It was not much, but it seemed ideal to make some detail that I could use to decorate the house.
I had saved, too, a jar with a candle in it because, honestly, I didn't like the way it looked. It was about to end up in the trash several times, but something made me stop. So, I asked myself, what if with this brown yarn and a little creativity I could give it a new life, and that's how I came up with the idea of knitting a kind of decorative cover for it.

En este nuevo lunes de agujas, quiero compartirles un pequeño proyecto que me permitió seguir disfrutando del placer de transformar con mis manos. Esta vez, me propuse aprovechar un ovillo que tenía con un poco de hilo marrón que había quedado en mi cesta de materiales, esperando una nueva oportunidad. No era mucho, pero me pareció ideal para hacer algún detalle que pudiera usar para decorar la casa.
Tenía guardado, también, un frasco con una vela porque, sinceramente, no me gustaba cómo se veía. Estuvo a punto de terminar en la basura varias veces, pero algo me hizo detenerme. Así que me pregunté: ¿y si con este hilo marrón y un poco de creatividad podía darle una nueva vida? Y así se me ocurrió tejer una especie de funda decorativa.

I began by making a base with high stitches to give it firmness, and then continued with net stitches to cover the body of the bottle, allowing the light to filter softly through the fabric. It was a simple work, one of those that are enjoyed between coffees and moments of silence on holidays like today. I was delighted to see how, little by little, the jar was taking on a different appearance, much warmer and cozier.
When I finished, I knew it had been worth every stitch. The fabric gave it a new personality, and now that jar that I wasn't sure about before has become a beautiful candle holder, perfect for tall, large candles, just like the one I already had. I placed it on my shelf unit, and when I turn it on, the light it casts through the fabric creates a magical atmosphere that makes me feel at peace.
I'm happy to have given that jar a second chance and to keep adding little details made with love to my home.

Comencé haciendo una base con puntos altos para darle firmeza, y luego continué con puntos red para que cubriera el cuerpo del frasco, permitiendo que la luz se filtrara suavemente a través del tejido. Fue un trabajo sencillo, de esos que se disfrutan entre cafecitos y momentos de silencio en los días festivos como hoy. Me encantó ver cómo, poco a poco, el frasco iba tomando otra apariencia, mucho más cálida y acogedora.
Cuando terminé, supe que había valido la pena cada puntada. El tejido le dio una nueva personalidad, y ahora ese frasco que antes no me convencía, se ha convertido en un bonito candelabro, perfecto para velas altas y grandes, justo como la que ya tenía. Lo puse en mi módulo de repisas, y cuando lo enciendo, la luz que proyecta a través del tejido crea una atmósfera mágica que me hace sentir en paz.
Estoy feliz de haberle dado una segunda oportunidad a ese frasco y de seguir sumando pequeños detalles hechos con amor a mi casa.
