Multicolor cover for Ipad, a gift for my daughter🧶
Happy day, my dear needle friends! I hope you are well, with lots of health and wellness. I'm back through this beautiful community to share a new knitted project.
Lately I've been determined to make the most of every bit of yarn I have left over from previous projects. Those leftover balls of yarn that, although they seem insignificant, I think they still have a lot to offer. So, with a little imagination and a lot of desire to create, I decided to gather them all and give them new life.
This time, I decided to knit a multicolored case for my daughter's iPad. I knew I had balls of several colors that I wouldn't be able to knit a bigger project with. I was combining the shades without much planning, letting myself go by intuition and the rhythm of the knitting. As one color ran out, I simply joined the next and continued. Thus, stitch after stitch, a rectangular cover full of life was formed, with a cheerful and unique air.

Últimamente me he propuesto aprovechar al máximo cada pedacito de hilo que me queda de proyectos anteriores. Esos restos de ovillos que van quedando y que, aunque parezcan insignificantes, pienso que tienen aún mucho que ofrecer. Así que, con un poco de imaginación y muchas ganas de crear, decidí reunirlos todos y darles nueva vida.
Esta vez, me animé a tejer una funda multicolor para el iPad de mi hija. Sabía que tenía ovillos de varios colores con los que no iba a poder tejer un proyecto más grande. Fui combinando los tonos sin mucho plan, dejándome llevar por la intuición y el ritmo del tejido. A medida que un color se acababa, simplemente unía el siguiente y continuaba. Así, punto tras punto, se fue formando una funda rectangular llena de vida, con un aire alegre y único.

I knitted this case using varetas and half stitches, playing with the textures and the mix of colors that came up naturally. I not only thought about it protecting the iPad, but also about it being versatile, so its size allows my daughter to use it to keep the book she is reading at the moment. She always carries one in her purse, and I thought it was nice that this case could also accompany her in those reading moments.
To close it, I knitted a long chain stitch that I then reinforced with half stitches and as a final touch, I wanted to add something special, so at each end I put some golden beads that I would use to finish the chain stitch to tie it. When I saw them, I knew it was just what was missing.
I love how it turned out. What I enjoy most about this type of project is the creative process that is woven into each stitch.
Tejí esta funda usando varetas y medios puntos, jugando con las texturas y con la mezcla de colores que iban surgiendo naturalmente. No solo pensé en que protegiera el iPad, sino también en que fuera versátil, así que su tamaño permite que mi hija también pueda usarla para guardar el libro que esté leyendo en el momento. Ella siempre anda con uno en su bolso, y me pareció lindo que esta funda pudiera acompañarla también en esos ratos de lectura.
Para cerrarla, tejí una cadeneta larga que luego reforcé con medios puntos y como toque final, quise ponerle algo especial, así que en cada punta le puse unas cuentas doradas con las que terminaría la cadeneta para amarrarla. Al verlas, supe que era justo lo que le faltaba.
Me encanta cómo quedó. Lo que más disfruto de este tipo de proyectos es el proceso creativo que se teje con cada puntada.

Hola, mi Rosita, sí, aprovechando todo y con el deseo de comprar hilos nuevos 😉Esta funda la empecé a tejer como regalo del día del niño para Sofi. La vio con las primeras vueltas de tejido, y le encantó. Ahora es cuando se la voy a entregar ☺️ Gracias por tus palabras, un abrazo 🤗
