Science and its impact

When talking about science, there are lots of factors to be considered. Science has been part of human life since its inception but was taken for granted until technology helped out as a driving force to bring science into the limelight. Science is beautiful. I am glad and happy to say I am a science lover. I was being taught a course in school today that makes me love science even more. It talks about our neurone nerves and how the brain serves as the ultimate processor and receiver of all the information processed by the whole body system. Science has explanations for every human activity and that of the environment we live in.

With technology coupled with science, many discoveries have been made that have helped make life easier for humans. Let me start from my field; as a biochemist, science explains how different metabolic processes occur in the body. The mechanism behind the blinking of the eyes, digestion, circulation, and reproduction, to mention but a few. Science deals with the human world through observation, experimentation and reasoning. Science cuts across every area of life, with no area being exclusive, making it easy to relate every activity going on on planet Earth to science.

As interesting as science is, it is not without its limits and responsibilities. Science represents humanity's effort to study and understand the universe, improve lives and inform decisions through inquiry and analysis. Medicine draws me closer to science. I love how science explains the phenomenon of reactions in the human body. These are the things we had little or no knowledge about some centuries ago, risking our lives in several ways and having quite lots of misconceptions. Thanks to science that has shed more light on areas confusing about human existence and daily activities being carried out in the body.

What interests me about science again is artificial intelligence. Both science and artificial intelligence are interconnected, each driving the advancement of the other. With the help of science, artificial intelligence was developed to simulate human thinking and decision-making. There are many relationships between science and AI; scientists use data from real-world observations and experiments to train AI systems, which helps in creating solutions to some unanswered questions. Artificial intelligence has made work easier; it can analyse thousands of scientific questions within a short while. AI speeds up processes in research such as data collection, analysis, and interpretation. With the help of AI, scientists can now perform experiments that are too costly, dangerous, or impossible to do in real life.

Science has proven to be worthwhile, and this is just the tip of the iceberg; the coming centuries will have a lot more to say about science because, by then, several other science-related technologies will have been developed, which will make life easier for humans. Today, I was taught that what most people consider a manipulation of evil spirits or black magic is a result of some disorder in the genetic formation of life which affects the neurological combinations of the human body, thereby resulting in abnormalities which many see as a spiritual attack. Science is fun and interesting, and the beauty of it is that it is widely accepted, so it is unique universally.

Thanks for your time, and your comments will be appreciated.

Everything about this life is science honestly speaking, when ever I look at everything that happens in the hospital and medical facilities it is amazing...

You know, I loved it when you said this…” Science represents humanity's effort to study and understand the universe, improve lives and inform decisions through inquiry and analysis” and that is because science in itself is not sufficient but at the same time, its possibilities are unsutmountable

You are right ,science is not enough but the impact in our daily living cannot be overemphasized

Indeed this is just a tip of btye iceberg, in the nearest future science combined with technology will do more.

There are more to come in the biological and technology expect of science including the creative part. I love sci-fi movies.

Science is broad and there's still a lot to learn and discover. It takes great efforts and willingness to learn. Grateful to all the scientists who went to great efforts to bring us what we know and enjoy today.
