Saludos queridos amantes de la costura, espero se encuentren de maravilla y estĂ©n teniendo una excelente semana. Hoy le quiero mostrar otra modelo de bata que estuve haciendo hace unos dĂas, este fuĂ© un medido que me hicieron y la clienta queria una bata para dormir pero como es una señora mayor no le gustan los escote pronunciados y tampoco las faldas cortas asĂ que me puse a trabajar haciendo una mangas más anchas que las anteriores y la bata que llegará a la altura de la rodilla, con una tela bastante llamativa que comprĂ© hace tiempo que en realidad la tenĂa para otra cosa pero como me saliĂł esto a Ăşltimo momento tuve que resolver pero el resultado me encantĂł la verdad, asĂ que acompañame a ver el proceso.
Greetings dear sewing lovers, I hope you are feeling wonderful and are having a great start of the week. Today I want to show you another nightgown design I made a few days ago. This was a custom order, and the client wanted a nightgown, but since she’s an older woman, she doesn’t like low necklines or short hemlines. So I set to work making the sleeves wider than before and designing the nightgown to fall just below the knee, using a pretty eye-catching fabric I bought a while back—I actually had it for something else, but since this came up at the last minute, I had to improvise. But honestly, I loved the result, so come with me to see the process.

- Printed micro-peach fabric
- Matching thread
- Scissors
- Tape measure

Para hacer está bata lo primero que hice fué extender la tela doblada para cortar las dos piezas de la bata, usé un top para guiarme y cortar en la parte del escote y las sisas luego, corté el largo deseado hacia abajo usando la cinta métrica par medir, como está tela es elástica no la dejé tan ancha pues fácilmente se puede amoldar al cuerpo, luego coloqué las dos piezas enfrentando sus derechos y cosà los costados.y también los hombros.
To make this robe, the first thing I did was lay out the folded fabric to cut out the two pieces. I used a top as a guide to cut out the neckline and armholes. Then, I cut the fabric to the desired length using a measuring tape. Since the fabric is stretchy, I didn’t make it too wide because it easily conforms to the body. Then I placed the two pieces right sides together and sewed the sides and the shoulders.

Para coser el cuello y las sisas corté una tira de 6 cm de ancho que coloqué como bies tanto en el escote del cuello como en las mangas o sisas, aquà solo pasé costura recta para un mejor acabado final.
To finish the neckline and armholes, I cut a 6-cm-wide strip and used it as bias tape along both the neckline and the sleeves (or armholes); here, I simply sewed a straight stitch for a neater finish.

Para finalizar y esto es opcional, yo coloqué un bolsillo en la parte delantera de la bata, cosà el bolso con boble costura recta y el acabado fué muy pulcro, para terminar ya está prenda hice un dobladillo en la orilla de todo el contorno de la bata y asà finalicé este proyecto, a mà clienta le encantó además que está tela es súper suave y cómoda para dormir. Finally, and this is optional, I added a pocket to the front of the robe. I sewed the pocket using a straight stitch with a zigzag stitch, and the finish turned out very neat. To finish this garment, I hemmed the entire edge of the robe, and that completed the project. My client loved it, and she also mentioned that the fabric is super soft and comfortable for sleeping. Aunque de costura y confección no se absolutamente nada a pesar de rodearme de mujeres que saben coser creo que el paso a paso te quedo genial. Creo que ese tipo de prendas para dormir son realmente agradables, y lo digo porque las señoras lo usan mucho, por lo menos a mis abuela le encantan batas de ese tipo.
