So friends, as today was Saturday and today was a day of great enthusiasm and joy, the festival of Rakshabandhan is celebrated with great joy and gaiety in India. The festival of Rakshabandhan is not just a festival but a deep bond between a brother and a sister which shows how brothers and sisters live together. On the day of Rakshabandhan, a sister makes a good bond on her brother's wrist and keeps
expecting him to protect her. Brothers, sisters and friends, the festival of Rakshabandhan is based on our tradition that has been going on for centuries, so let me tell you why we celebrate Rakshabandhan.

There are different reasons for celebrating the festival of Raksha Bandhan that when Lord Shri Krishna once flies a kite and while flying the kite, a little of his finger gets cut and a lot of blood starts flowing from that finger, at that time Draupadi standing there who considers him as her brother, was also there and he tears a little cloth from one of the pallu of her sari and ties it on his hand and from then it is taken by Shri Krishna that I will always protect her and which he also does during the Mahabharata when Draupadi's dress is disrobed then Shri Krishna saves her honour and not just offers her a piece of sari but the entire sari to her.
