You are viewing a single comment's thread:

Those "high yields"?

NOT from underlying assets.

From:
❌ Liquidity mining
❌ Platform tokens
❌ Unsustainable rewards

When incentives dry up → collapse.

Luna flashbacks? 📉

Spot on. Those inflated yields often mask shaky fundamentals. Reminds me of past hype cycles where rewards outpaced real value—unsustainable every time. Seen this pattern too often in DeFi collapses

Exactly. These unrealistic yields are essentially an "ignorance tax" on impatient investors.

Couldn't agree more. Those unrealistic yields prey on FOMO, and the collapse is always louder than the hype. Sustainability is the real marker of value in any market, DeFi or otherwise

Precisely. FOMO has always been the native currency of speculative markets.
Sustainable yields grow like ancient trees, while bubbles mushroom overnight - spectacular in appearance, toxic in substance.

Love the analogy. Sustainable yields build over time with deep roots, while bubbles are just flashy and doomed to pop. Seen this play out too many times in market cycles
