I get that not everyone’s on social media much, and if you’re not worried, that’s cool. Still, I think playing it safe by avoiding personal shares is a solid move, even if you don’t ditch social media entirely

It's not that I don't agree with your concern. I agree with you but you can't protect your family in that way also as somehow scammer may find out your family members also.

And in my case, I am a secret box and I rarely share anything in social media. I love to keep things secret. I rarely share my own picture let alone my family members.

I get that scammers can still find ways to target families, and if you’re already super private, that’s a solid approach. I just think minimizing personal shares adds a bit of extra safety, even if it’s not foolproof
