Posada San Francisco: Tourist destination of Cumaná
Hello community, happy Sunday to all, nice to greet you again and wish you many blessings.
Today I want to share with you a beautiful building known as: Posada San Francisco. It is located in the historic center of the city, the first-born of the American continent, Cumana.
The historic center of the city of Cumaná is characterized by houses with designs alluding to the colonial era. The Posada San Francisco, is immersed within this great list that in spite of the time and the repairs that have been made to the house since it has approximately two hundred years of construction have always tried to conserve its original style, that is to say, that colonial style.
A curious fact is that the Posada San Francisco is located near the ruins of the San Francisco convent, it is worth mentioning that I talked about it in a previous post. This inn is also located near the Ribero square where there is a bus stop where passengers from the surrounding municipalities converge to come to the city to do their personal errands.
This Posada is very visited during the month of November because on the 27th the city celebrates its birthday and in that area is celebrated one of the long awaited and longed for festivities known as the nights of yesteryear where the locals wear attire and constructions alluding to the colonial era.
This house offers to the visitors of the place parking lot where they will be able to keep the vehicle and other means of transportation that the client has. In addition, Posada San Francisco has a restaurant with a varied gastronomy that includes the typical dishes of the city.
This house has a very peculiar feature as it has a variety of colors on the main facade, namely light pink, blue and yellow. This plurality of colors makes this inn a very striking house. Something that caught my attention is a bird that is painted on the front of this building.
At the main entrance of this inn there is a very high two-winged wooden door, something very characteristic of the houses of the place, these were built to facilitate the passage of the horses of the people who came to visit.
These doors were made of cedar or acacia wood in which some designs were made in the form of rectangles and rhombuses. They were placed vertically. On the main façade of the Posada San Francisco there is another wooden door with wrought iron bars with a colonial design.
It also has vertical wooden windows on the front of the house and at the top a four-square design with four glass windows. The bars are made of wrought iron with a very peculiar design at the top in the shape of a crown alluding to the colonial era.
The Posada San Francisco is synonymous with people, love, humility and brotherhood among locals and visitors to the city.
Visiting the historic center of the city is living dreaming of those pleasant moments that will not return but that remain alive in our thoughts.
Until the next tour!!

Yes, it is a very nice place inside, unfortunately I went very early and could not take a picture of the inside.
Thanks for your visit
The facade of the inn is very nice, colorful and charming. It certainly looks great and highlights the colonial design that is appreciated in the buildings of that era. It would have been great to see pictures of the inside.
