We have enough data to say that @splinterlands is doing okay with its latest expansion in the form of Conclave Arcana. This is the biggest change to the game we have seen since the launch (outside of Land + Soulkeep). We launched without any serious spending on marketing. We have 17 days left of the Presale. There are Booster Packs already available at a cheaper price than the what they are sold for.

• Alchemy Packs cost 12,000 DEC or $12 in Credits
• Legendary Packs cost 24,000 DEC or $24 in Credits.

The missing piece is that Presale have some extra perks for those who are buying in early. This means the investors can still be at a profit if they bought these Booster Packs in large numbers. Take a look at the Rewards given to large buyers. Even those who make a small investment have a chance of winning very big (as in thousands of dollars in value).

Leaderboard Has Non Transferable Perks

Designing an Archon allows players to become immortalized in the game world and lore by having their input taken for the design of an Archon of their choosing. You may have seen some powerful Archon that resemble some of the names of prominent players and developers of the game. This is how they achieved that; not through some special deal behind closed doors. Decentralization provides more accessibility for players and investors into the building of the game.

The Sales Have Slowed Down (Temporarily)

I say "temporarily" because of the things we have seen during previous sales with Leaderboard Rewards. The goal of the Whales is to get the most amount of value with the least amount of spending. The sales get lively during the beginning and near the end. There are some $SPS Whales who burned a large amount of SPS, yet have not spent enough DEC to show up around the top of Leaderboard.

45,100,000 DEC over 24 hours is not a lot of money. If we maintainde this rate of sales for the rest of the Presale, we would only have 766,700,000 more DEC leaving more than half of the Presale Packs to be burned. I think this is unlikely to happen. There are Whales who amassed a great deal of DEC that have not spent it. HODLing a stablecoin with a soft peg is not an investment strategy. It is a dry powder strategy to snipe into Leaderboard positions. We have a real chance of selling everything available.

Don't be surprised if the buying frenzy came even before the last day. The beginning of general sale and rotating Chaos Legion out of Modern is the best time to kick of marketing spending IMO. We have every aspect of @splinterlands in the best shape ever. What is even better is that we have deep strategy, lore and visuals that can eclipse even some of the best funded game within both Web 2 and Web 3. All we need is a viral effect similar to what we saw during the previous bull market.

"Sell The News" is Part of Life

It has been a great disappointment to learn how little markets care about the real fundamentals. Strong fundamentals can keep a project from dying. Having the project reach recognition or high marketcaps is often based on marketing and business development. There is no point wailing about this irrationality of the world. What we can do is build partnerships and let ourselves be better known. Network effect becomes more powerful exponentially.

Last Month vs 7 Days

We have been able to maintain most of this momentum from last month into the statistics for the last week. I do believe we have done a good job with the lower parts of the onboarding funnel. What we need to do now is to bring more prospects into the top of the funnel.

I feel as if @splinterlands has been a bit too siloed as a game/DAPP. We are likely not the only ones who are siloed like this. That is no excuse. We need to find ways to approach the outside world. The current active player statistics are on the same level as what they were before DEC, SPS, Node LICENSEs, Soulkeep etc. blew up @splinterlands into the #1 DAPP in the world. Since we had done it once, we may accomplish the same for a second time.
