Humanoid robots have come a long way in recent times. We know that AI is a catalyst in robotics, causing times to shorten dramatically. Or did you imagine a functional robot in 2100?
For example, Boston Dynamics has shown an update of its humanoid robot Atlas and, comparing, you can notice a great advance in the way its joints are as fluid as those of a human being.
The question is, are you aware of the abysmal change that is coming our way in the medium term? Would you consider a humanoid robot part of your family? These are things we must prepare ourselves for, because everything is going so fast and we don't even have time to think.

Everyone is doing robots now...
Its helpful on heavy or hazardous tasks
Some countries are starting to run a plant with robotic personnel. It is very efficient apparently, although one never knows where the flesh-and-blood workers will end up. But considering the fact that there are dangerous jobs, it is an interesting implementation to include robots.
